The reason home birth is becoming increasingly illegal is because when you birth at home, your money goes directly to the midwife and her practice. The midwife works directly for you. When you birth in a hospital, your money goes strait to the corporate bankers. The hospital and hospital staff don't work for you, they work for the corporate bankers. If I lived in a place that restricted home birth, I would move. I would never, ever give birth in an American hospital!
