  • i have oval office wich is like this

  • i have a problem with the game. when i start it, the screen is in a 90 degrees rotation and i cant get it work. plz help me im too dissapointed!

  • @Chris22697 Try Ctrl + Alt + Arrow key.

  • @Reconanator doesnt work. thanks although!

  • @Kommunist93 I did find that by ignoring the capitalist's unhappy indicators, and making long term changes for society, that eventually the capitalists liked what was done. ( within a 4 year election period. )

  • @Kommunist93 I am no expert on communism, but I there is truth in that irony. Since elections are based on voter 'happiness', and communist implementations (ie: taking land and belongings away from individuals for the government) isn't that popular, I don't think you could have an election system working to bring about stable communism. Democracy includes an election system.

  • 0:44 Tax evasion is not a problem.... Taxation is the problem.

  • @MrJigssaw1989 Only if your a tea party republican lol

  • ...continued (game review). Some additions to make this logical political simulator a little more realistic. Media manipulation, and corporate lobby pressures ( which is available in a patch ). Really it is missing the negatives. Maybe the world should be run by a super computer, people seem to make problems of semi complicated and banal tasks. Hmmm, Deus Ex.

Any comments are welcome, I will most likely post back ( if you are not insulting or crass ).

  • quick game review: Just bought it today. The play is good, but the logic leans left. I played Standard USA Republican default settings. Either I should be elected to save the USA from it's current affairs, (which I couldn't be, I am not American), or the settings are still a bit simplistic. Which, I will immediately add, are very complicated and dynamic and quite impressive. I did manage reelection after my first term by 80+% vote, and solved all but 3 problem areas. continued...

  • @vdst1 hi mate do you know a website where i can get the game full for free? i just played the demo and its great! just completed a police state hahaha and boom demo is over! ill appreciate any help

  • i just couldn't please the people lol i did enough to get re-elected but as soon as my second term started my party numbers went down and eventually to zero.

I guess investing in "green energy" and equality gets you nowhere haha.

  • Its actually quite a fun game especially if your into politics, highly addictive too. But the guy in this review is right, it does have a lifespan of about 2 weeks and when that's over it rapidly turns rather tedious and soon finds its way to the "my old games I don't play anymore" pile. I think there's a lot of potential for it to be much better though. Combing the Democracy 2 political gameplay with the nation building gameplay of Civilizations 5 for example would make a pretty neat game.

  • Great review, boring game.

  • Hey man i completed all objectives and still people did not voted for me?

  • @2ndstanguner

that's what democracy mean.self centered people who never satisfied or take granted with what they have :)

  • @noveras I see I earned trust of people and I win but the fucking shit is that you do NOT need to complete problems just earn trust of the people

  • could i get this game or hmv? if not, where could i get it?

  • All that talk about humping made me gitty.

  • 'Game is essentially about allocating money, back and forth, using the scroll bars', as the reviewer states, this is nothing more than a game that looks like its quite deep from the outset, but once you play it (and use common sense) it is extremely poor in game play value. Fact they use this type of game as a educational tool in some universities and schools pretty much explains the lack of intelligence in the world of politics if pollies just sit down and change your life by moving the bar...

  • LOL game

  • Good review.

Yeah the game is overly simple for me, I played it for 4 hours, but then I got bored. The only strategy aspect is like you say, if you don't spend here, this and that happens, but that's as much strategy as chasing a dog. The core of the game is finding out your 2-3 highest population markers, making sure they like you so you get elected, and then managing a simple budget, introducing new laws when you can.

  • How is this not torrented yet?

  • @tgseason12

I got an e-mail which said it's now 50% off on their site. If you buy it you get a download link which you can use for a year on an unlimited amount of pc's.

I've downloaded it via a torrent, but it sucked, it was full of errors, bugs or however you'd call it.

  • @R1S9S9R1

Hah, I've already played it. Pretty cool game.

  • GPS is nonsense, hardly anything works on it, it is rushed and incomplete, and recently they released another game, which I have not bought. Games worth playing are Trever Chan's Capitalism 2, and Superpower 2. I highly recommend getting Superpower 2 then this crap, the game actually works, and your actions yield results. Capitalism 2 is a business simulation game by the way.

  • I got assassinated by a patriot. Taxes were too high.

  • @ghostNE1 Was he a karate master?

  • where can i download the full game?

    does anyone know?

  • @willjack2106 Google Democracy 2

  • This game looks extremely boring, im all for simulation games but I'd rather have a little bit more graphics than just clicking things and tweaking numbers.

  • is it even possible to win the freaking elections?

  • @elotrocanaldeesteban yes but DO NOT complete objectives you must earn people

  • Capitalism 2 is a really fun game. Oh and do not buy Geo political sim, I played 32 pounds for that, and it was just buggy and boring, Superpower 2 is better.

  • @007Neutrin0

Yeah I also have both Games, GPS is shit, Superpower is better but doesn´t work right on my pc

  • @007Neutrin0 Thank you for saying that. I bought Geo Political last year, and it's a piece of shit! I wont even work on my laptop anymore, and it seems that you have to keep "updating" it every year (IE, buying a new game) just for the thing to work.

I'm looking into buying Capitalism 2, as it looks like an amazing game to play.

  • Looks great... I've had it in my pc for months now but can't get it to start... omg my pc is tyrannical! Should I now call the US military? To "install democracy?" lol jk

  • @ichersue

you will have to reduce poverty first

  • @RedUnbannable

can you raise taxes a lot on the 1% Rich "the job creators" (selfish pigs) to finance programs for regular people, without fabricated cheesy "side effects" like the Rich cant trickledown? oh noes! lol (purposely hoarding $ till workers are so poor they'll work cheap)

if you cant raise taxes on them without side effects, the game's a ripoff, scientifically flawed/unrealistic economics, made by Libertarian Capitalist (Fascist Nationalist) Tea Party Ayn Rand "Patriot" Conservatives.

  • @ichersue Yeah, you should if your country is too much of a wuss to "install democracy" themselves.

    lol jk

  • ... Just no.

  • The game is good but the democracy is one shit

  • what are the 8 achievements

I already know police state, crime free, green and pleasent land, socialist haven, Technological, Economic wonder, Gods place on Earth

    Whats the other

  • @whytalkwhen : One-party state

  • Can you buy this game in Pounds?

  • yes

  • Does anyone know all 8 achievements

  • Comment removed

  • Well... it is a shareware game just like ailien shooter where you pay a small fee like $10 for a week/few days gaming. it´s not that you can judge it as a €40-50. other then that i agree with the vids, not so much of variation (even thou i select sweden i did not get the original block (moderat socialism etc) name just the US block names wich is kinda boring.

    thanks for the rewiev

  • Right now its in a bundle on Direct 2 Drive with 4 other games (including a couple great ones like Zeno Clash and Defense Grid) for $17. So for a couple days at least this game is in a bundle thats a great deal.

  • ok......why there are picture of Stalin in a game call Democracy?

  • hhhmm maybe it try to say that was once a big leader :P

  • Its because democrats are not interesting....

  • @noveras "ok......why there are picture of Stalin in a game call Democracy?" good question Lol

  • @noveras Hah, spot on! ;D

  • @noveras because communism is a form of economy, like capatilism, democracy is a form of a political system that a country is run. (Also, is obvious that ur American, theres good things about communism you know.)

  • @FindRealHipHop

LOL what you said is right but I'm a Malaysian not American and my country has been through a communist uprising that lasted for more than 50 years until it was crushed in 1990 that I know there are more bad than good in communism =)

  • @noveras depends on the version of communism, Lennen and Stalin had diffrent ideas. Some had good ideas but went too far and ended up making it a bad idea.

  • @FindRealHipHop

the version of communist they tried to bring in my country was the Mao communist. Most of the members are Chinese and in Malaysia the native and majority are Malays and this causes racial tensions and made the communist movement unpopular. In the end the Chinese in the communist side while the Malays,Indian and eventually the majority of the moderate Chinese join the government side.

I love the idea of communism by Karl Marx but it was destroyed by Stalin,Mao and few others =)

  • @noveras I agree, Marx was the best, Stalin said if workers worked more than they was asked they would be rewarded (which is good) but those who didnt work as much got punished, and he said it would make people take pride in their jobs. Which is half true, but because you got punished, the public would be scared to be punished.

  • @noveras

why is ther america title in a game called democracy ??

  • @AlphaMaIe

    hmmmmm good point XD

  • @noveras I suppose you could also ask why this game is called democracy when the player can only control republics.

  • @noveras For sake of contrast :P

  • @noveras technically he was re-elected many times :p

  • @noveras " Do you want to build a socialist paradise? a green eco-friendly sustainable economy? a totalitarian state? or a religious one? Democracy 2 gives you the freedom to create the kind of society you want. " -direct2drive description quote.

  • Democracy is identical to this. Democracy is good game but doesnt mate sense sometimes. I got rid of motorists but as I lowered car tax and petrol price, car usage went up. If their are no motorist how can car usage go up? Also how can I earn taxes from petrol if there are no motorists. Good game, but essentially not enough depth and could have been something alot more.

  • looks fun.... :)

    is it too repetitive?

  • what shop can u buy this from

  • you can download it for free.interested contact me

  • I am interested :)

PM me with the link where i can get it fro free.

    Thanks

  • Agreed CountArtha, we in the UK have some of the strictest gun laws in the so called "free" world, yet gun violence has greatly increased since we passed those laws.

  • The one thing that REALLY annoys me in this game is that gun laws actually *lower* the crime rate. Obviously the developers didn't do their research.

  • does anyone know ere i can download this game for free?

  • Sadly you have to buy it as it is in the shops now :( but I heard that some more recent comments said of getting it for free... check there.

  • Thank you!

  • You're very welcome
