  • When "looking at it got it yeah good job scott keep it tight" cam stabbing its way into the last part of that song I died a little bit inside. Nothing is quite like listening to a really really good song the very first time, and you ruined it. If this video was as good as this song this video would be awesome and I would have the desire to acquire a copy of it and others like it to watch them repeatedly, enjoying them more and more each time. But alas...

  • Nice :) live the gold :)

  • Nice vid, that is one gorgeous stream. Were you using a 4wt or possibly 5?

  • great vid man! im going up to Funston right at Rattlesnake Creek in late Aug. i love it up there can't wait to get back up there, its been a while.

  • Hello there! I I have posted some video responses from my fishing sessions... With my blog, I hope I can share with you my passion for fishing as i would like to establish contacts in the US for a possible fishing trip in the future... Happy end of 2009 ! :)

  • sweet vid man... those golden trout look just like rainbow trout......that really looks like awesome fishing.... id say you can drink that water it is prestine

  • @thetweedtweeker they are rainbows, goldens have a gold belly and olive/reddish ovals on the backs, real colorful, more colorful than a brook, and are much smaller. To get to goldens, you have to backpack in. Take HWY 395 from LA towards Carson, NV, hang a left at Lone Pine, drive until the road ends, start walking, straight up ... when you get to cottonwood pass there are many lakes and streams to fish

  • read my comment dude.....i said "LOOK LIKE"

  • haha very cool. I fly fished for trout in the sierra nevada. - we were a couple hundred feet to low for golden trout tho! awesome video! (i think they're 10,000 and up)

  • Nice vid! I too love the golden trout, but you get to fish them in their native habitat! Most impressive! Any more fly fishing vids planned? - trouttrek -

  • Beautiful goldens!

  • 2:00 Now that is a fine trout.

  • what exactly is a golden trout is it one of the sub speicies and yes i spelled that wrong

  • a golden trout is a sub species of a rainbow trout.

  • Wow, I know where our next trip's going to be. Thanks!

  • the kern river in bakersfield?

  • In fished the kern river before and caught a golden trout before fly fishing cools

  • Thanks for posting, and what a great use of YouTube! I only wish the photography was as spectacular & vivid as the fish themselves.

  • I've caught golden trout in the High Uintah wilderness. You gotta hike far to get to them though, but well worth it.

  • The Uintahs are awesome.

  • The record golden trout was caught in Mammoth 1946 26,5 pounds

  • Oddly enough, we have some transplanted California Golden trout in 3 or more isolated high altitude mountain lakes in the Canadian Rockies, so in case those become endangered, or cross breed or something, maybe we can pay you back.

  • It is not odd, it was planned. In case something happens to the native strain of Golden Trout of the Sierra Nevadas there are a few places where the strain has been transplanted, including a place or 2 in New Mexico. I love to catch them and I always release them, but I let my friends keep 2 so they an experience the taste.

  • Local duo called "Out of the Blue" Michael Gallagher and Pat Seamount

  • What a clear pristine stream. Gotta make it there sometime. How far from L.A. ?

  • About 2 1/2 to 3 hours. You take I-5 to the 99, exit 178. That will get you to the Kern River Valley.

  • NICE, WHATS THE MUSIC?

  • Local duo called "Out of the Blue"
