  • @kevitivity...actually it is...try burning wood anywhere and notice the amount of black smoe you have..now look at this video...there is less smoke produced during the burning process in this video since the combustible gases doesnt escape easily and so they are burned..compared to an ordinary fire pit which lets gas escape fast therefor not burning the combustible gases and wasting alot of energy.

  • Why does that stove suck?

  • My Trangia stove, homemade potstand and titanium bowl fits inside a 1 quart pot. And my Trangia stove and homemade potstand fits inside a 24 ounce pot. And they fit inside backpack great. And I cook over a fire sometimes. Cooking is easy and clean with a alcohol stove. And I saw one battery powered wood stove on the trail. It cooked much faster than a Trangia.

  • Looks like it's nothing more than a small portable fire pit. There is no such thing as gasifing.

  • @Kevitivity

Do some research gasification is a proven science and powered millions of cars during WWII

  • @Kevitivity

Very knowledgeable i see. no such thing as a lying politician either i suppose.

  • @Kevitivity Google it, kiddo; gasification has been around for about 170 years.

  • @Kevitivity yes but its a difficult process

  • Try it out, it works and it has a very clean flame..

  • What is the inner can of the gallon size can?

  • How well is this in a windy / Stormy weather?

  • too big.

  • I would really like to see a video on how you constructed the gasifier units.

  • how large of a skillet do you have?

  • Stoves look large and heavy. How much do they weigh? You should use denatured alcohal to fire it up it is less toxic.

  • @bluemountaindrivepae Alcohol cost money organic materials cost nothing. The stoves are very light.

  • my pan....my skillet....how the hell did you get into my house?!

  • So do you sell theses stoves

  • @GuitarFriend Und, ob die Deutsche Gebirge nicht genug ist, sind Sie wilkommen bis Norwegen ! :)

  • @perki1952 it's actually really crowded in germany. personally i'm from switzerland, but there's not much difference(like canada-us, just smaller and packed up tight)

the problem is that there's no nature left like it is in montana/washington/oregon and le rockies. also there's nothing comparable to the appalachian or the pct.

another reason might be that the european culture is totally different compared to can/us when it comes down to hiking, hunting or even shtf...

  • @snake9510Thanks for your reply. But I`m wondering, in which way is mountaineering different ?

  • @perki1952 most people i know refer to them selfs as "civilzed", so smelling like smoke(camp fire) or wearing lumber jack style clothing is a big nono.

    an example:

i bet that if you would practice one of those bug out situations you'd be watched all the time by pedestrians/people walking their dog. heck some one would probably call the cops on ya because. even if you try to get away from civilization, it's almost impossible.

i don't know if you can get an image of that info though;-)

  • @snake9510 Ok, I understand! You are refering to Central European conditions, which I do not know....Up here, in Northern Norway, nobody react if I smell smoke, or, after some time away from the civilization; like a horse ! :) And here is definitively not crowded , there are only 4 million Norwegians and most of them live in the south.

  • @perki1952 XD like a horse... true.

yeah, central europe. i've never even been up in scandinavia- hehe but it's on the list now.

  • @GuitarFriend You don`t need expensive gadgets or fancy equipment ! All you need is a little bit of WILL ! Stop watching YT and romanticise about a life "in the open" ! You`ve got plenty of nature in Germany ! Try the Schwartwald`s ! Raus , mein Junge ! RAUS !!!!! :))

  • @GuitarFriend Are you blind or handicapped in some other way ? Or are you just stupid ?

  • What material did you make them out of and how much are they?

    Thanks :)

  • Nice video.

Can you please make a video to show how you made these.... I was hoping that you would disassemble the large stove to show the components. I know the outer can is a gallon paint can, but can't tell what type the inner can is or how you've configured the vents and space at the bottom.

    Hope to see more.

    ★★★★★

  • Wouldn't you get a better flame if you lifted the stoves off the ground for better airflow? Nice video as well. Thank you!

  • Can you tell me how you built those. They appear to be just what I'm looking for!!

  • Recepie for fire balls dryer lint in a coffee filter tied with a wire dipped in hot candle wax if you have some old gunpowder or sulpher add some in the lint, after dipping in hot let pot cool once the pot of wax cools a bit dip again this really adds a lot more wax. Cut ball 1/2 open with knife use a flint will get one of these stoves up and burning with wood or without 5 minburn just Fball. I fill a gal ice cream tub each run use old pot 4wax. Try the Fballs you will always keepem around.

  • I like these, pretty cool.

The only thing i have, is that isn't a wood gasifier actually some sort of combustion chamber that heats up (not on fire) and then produces a gas from hydrogen and carbon monoxide? When the flame is actually being burned from H and CO.

This video, you are basically just catching the wood on direct fire right?

btw 5 stars because i like it.

  • did you buy it or have your make it at your own

  • I make them.

  • Nice demonstration! Clean looking build, good work!

  • Good Video. Thanks. You are a big guy and you are punishing your knees. From today kneel always on something soft but best sit on your butt.

  • very nice no fan version

  • hehe reminds me of the Mr. Fusion on Back to the Future... Itwould be nice to run a car this way.

Is it true that after the wood fuel is spent the remaining char can be burnt again?

  • Actually lots of cars ran on this during WWII.

yes it's true but in this stove you bunr the gas and then the char also but you could put it out before you burn the char. This is actually how charcoal is made too.

  • @hawkiye Over a million autos were powered with wood gas in ww2.
