the overall preformance of this organ is amazing from super high notes to low note it's all in perfect balance. Would love to play this organ someday!
I sure hate that they got rid of this drawknob console. It's so much more stately in appearance for its environment than that tacky theater-style contraption they've got in there now! Still one of my favorite organs though!
The new console is supposed to look like the original console to this organ. The console in this video is the organs second console (by Moller), the one before this console (by Aeolian) looked nearly identical to the new one they recently put in. I think it's a good thing, just because the original console looked like that... typically I like draw knob consoles better though. This is one of the few exceptions!
Justin, I love this piece also. I played it today for a wedding on a small 1924 Henry Pilcher son's organ. You have a huge organ to play there and this only has 9 stops. I used the viola and voix celeste on the swell and the melodia 8' on the great for the melody line. That little organ plays this type of literature very well though. Thanks for recording this. Well done! Not to mention that tune is one of my personal favorites, too. I love those cool chord progressions that I'd say were probably totally unheard of back in, say, Bach's time.
Beautiful place and music!

What a fantastic piece! The editing was exquisite! I may not be an organ afficionando, but I know what I enjoy and this was beautiful.
