don van stavern was a great influence in my bass playin days...i grew up in pearsall,tx ..which is just south of san antonio..i'd go up to s.a. to check out bands like ,.s.a. slayer.which featured ronny jarzombek....and other bands such as watchtower(from austin) a helstar(houston)..best heavy metal in the state at the time..kick ass don ..that youre still at it..thanks for the great music
