From memory I think they only lost 4 or 5 games the whole season. They always had half a chance. Cats were always extremley overated. No doubt a very good team, but not in the same sentence as a brisbane or essendon and hawthorn of the 80's. Only themselves to blame, they would continually screw their run into the finals concentrating on home and away games.
To be live at the game and win was the greatest feeling a hawks supporter could ever get. The greatest experience in the world and I hope we can do it again this year!

04 wasn't that painful if you were in a coma, the only plus I could find in 04 was the line in the sand game and that we bought back the rivalry with the bombers. 05 roughead/franklin showed signs but they were 'fremantle esc' years

Fucking oath mate your absolutely right in every way. Sure we didn't make the finals this year, but look at our injury list for the season compared to theirs! There just fucking sore losers that reckon if there 1 point behind 2 seconds into the match then obviously the opposition is cheating or umpires are backing the other team.
