I started stocking up on incandacsent light bulbs 3 years ago because of statist pricks like this guy! Not a moment too soon because you cannot buy 95 or 100 watt bulbs anymore in stores!

None of my CFL bulbs have lasted more than 2 years...and they have IMO inferior light and cost more and contain more dangerous chemicals and have disposal hassles. They also dont work as well in very cold climates. So for 99% of people who run a bulb for an hour or two a night, I think its not even an issue. The only time CFL bulbs make a lot of sense is in industries or corporations that may leave lights on for 24 hours a day.

The state of Washington banned laundry detergent that has a certain ingredient that gets clothes and dishes clean. People actually now drive to Idaho to get the detergent they like. The reason the eco nuts wanted it banned because apparently this particular ingredient is not good for water...as though people drink raw sewage? The ingredient they banned is what gets clothes clean and dishes from spotting. California are eco nuts and I bet they will follow. Looks like I will stock up!

Light bulbs are no longer the only bulb that gives off soft white. CFLs and LEDs do too. I know someone who works at a home improvement store they say 60 watt CFLs out sell Light Bulbs. CFLs= 45 per week annual sales. Light Bulbs=20per week. So you are wrong. Everyone I know has filled their homes with CFLs get over it, light bulbs are a thing of the past. @noreaga12326 The nice thing about stocking up, we will not have to buy a light bulb again for years! The hardware store I go to carry very little stock of Halogen bulbs right now. They still got plenty of incandesant bulbs. Right now they ran out of 100 watt bulbs about two months ago and did not restock, but have 95 watt bulbs which give enough good light. I bought and tested one. My kitchen needs a three way 300 watt bulb and i stocked up on those too. I am not taking any chance.

@newalm CFL lights now produce just as good of light as light bulbs. They come in soft white, bright white , or daylight. CFLs are far superior with these three options. So you are wasting your money stocking up on a inferior bulb that will cost a high amount to run once your energy company raises your rates after the ban .

CFLs and even LED lights give off very shitty light. The good news for me and those of you who are not in favor of the ban is that they're currently making energy efficient incandecents that give off the same exact color as our traditional bulb. only difference is that they'l be energy efficient. nobodys telling me how to light my house. heat is another factor.
