I have the same hair as you: just a little bit thicker and I did something just a bit different. I braided around 9 braids in my hair since it's super thick, and then in the morning I flat-ironed each one and then slowly took them out. It looks great! Try this if you have curly hair like krazyrayray's or mine. :)

oh the best way i think to crimp ur hair if you have any kind of hair is to braid it then to flat iron it while still in a braid wait for it to cool then carefully undo the braid also i recamend to spray with hair spray after to keep crimpiness

What u can do is braid all your hair into one one the back and leave it really tight and have pins on the sides so it doesn't fall out and don't spray anything cuz it sometimes uncurls your hair because of the wetness yeah and then pretty much everything else i the same
