This is such a beautiful performance. I love the music that they skated to - does anyone know it's name/composer?

They skated to the Nutcracker Composed by Petr Illych Tchaikovsky. This was from ACT II Pas de Deux

Unmatched with their beauty and emotion on the ice. Second only to Gordeeva and Grinkov and Michelle Kwan with their hearts. I hope Denis and Elena realize how many hearts they touched with their skating.

They were married from 1990 to 1995, but they still skated together professionally after their divorce. Elena remarried an American in 2000 and has two children and coaches skaters in NC. Denis married 2 time Olympic bronze medalist and world champion Chen Lu and they have a son together. They live in China now, where they are directors at a brand new skating center. I'm happy they're doing well.

I saw them live in 1997 and by then they had really hit their stride. They were smooth as glass, their lifts very dangerous and beautifully done. (Television gives you no clue how tiny she is.)

married once, but he is married to another

skater, and is a daddy. This was when skat-

ing was skating.

I was also happy for them when they skated fairlly cleanly that night. I wasn't so familiar with them at the time but I did find this program to be exceptional. A well deserved silver medal!
