Anyone know what this is called? Also, to those people saying not particularly nice things, what were YOU doing at the age of five? And I know this song isn't extremely hard to play, (I could learn it by ear easily enough) its a BEAUTIFUL song and sounds absolutely amazing and grown up. THAT IS A FIVE YEAR OLD PLAYING! I BET YOU CAN"T COMPOSE A PIECE LIKE THAT! Thank you and have a nice day. :)
Emily , my sister wants to talk to you in FB or Video cams ...Her name in facebook is elinor veron r. torres ...shes playing basketball in her profile pic
i really want to hug this kid. im 13 and not much for clasival music and listenign to this kid amkes me cry. she is a beautiful young girl that should be known throughout the world. i stopped playing piano for fun because i lost interest after my grama (graet grandma) died. she was the one tgat taught me and i havent played for fun since. but after hearing her, thisCHILD play. it braekls my heart at what this child is growing up with: war, hate, people dislikeing this video, and pride. @leexuanyitym you can go to her website emilybear (dot) com and buy it there. Or you can look for it online. It's easy, though; for the most part, just the chords of the key of D minor.
it's called Sunday morning. It's quite simple when you know where she's coming from. You start with your right hand doing D,F,A, then you move down to C,E,G, then you fo to Bb, D,F, and then A,the middles black note, and, i think it might be C, I can't really rememebr, but I can play it
@bambi7019 True. There are many talented children out there, but something sets her apart from the rest. Compare the way she plays to the way other "prodigies" play. Although equal in technical proficiency, most of the other kids have a very mechanical, almost robotic, movement while playing. Emily looks as if she is one with the piano and the music. There are a few others like this, but they're rare.
This is not talent; this is a gift. I like that her parents seem to avoid the term "prodigy."
@ares213 In addition, it's the parents who upload their "prodigy" children playing piano for the sake of gaining popularity. On the other hand, the world found Emily Bear.
Wow Emily....respect!!! I really like it when I see young people who are so into music, that they have the will (and skills!....;) to create new music... Nice piece! If you like you can take a look on my 'piano-composition' channel? I really appreciate comments!..;)
She is the new Beethoven... Or Bach.. Or Mozart... Ohmigoodness!! I'm 12 and I've been playing as long as she's been alive, and I can't create a piece like that..
This is a wonderful piece composed by a wonderful girl. It is not too hard to play, there are chords in the right hand and the left hand crossovers are the base note of the right hand chord, but she composed this at the age of five. F-I-V-E. I was playing "Mary Had a Little Lamb" by ear with one finger at the age of five.
OMG you are amazing!! I play piano and i have to listen to mozart and beethoven all the time and i think you are better than them. @bambi7019 She said she'd composed about 130 songs, not 350. Still, she is downright amazing. Unbelievably talented, charming & sweet-natured. Her parents have done a fantastic job of raising her.
Emily really could be the foremost talent of the 21st century.
I'd give my eye teeth to see her compose songs with & for David Archuleta. They have such RARE musicality, a kind that you just don't see...hers with melody/piano, his with song/vocals. The results would be just s p e c t a c u l a r.

@bambi7019 yeah but u dont understand very well .. she said that she learned more than 350 song and composed about 20 .. even to mozart would be hard to composed 350 songs .. she is amazing by the way xd
To set the record straight: Emily started experimenting at the piano when she was about 2 years old, composing when she was about 3 - but this video refers to when she started actual piano lessons with a teacher - Mr. Emilio del Rosario 2 months before she turned 5 years old.
Her talent was discovered when she was overheard playing a C-scale at 2 years and one month old. The claim at the end of this video that she has been playing for 5 months is false.
this song is so awsomee i wish it was like in a top view to watch with notes she was playing its soo awsommeee does anyone now how to play this song by ear??
wholueyou chill out man shes very talented and has a lot of potential to become even greater than she is now if she continues to stay on this path and be taught by mentors and other famous composers and teachers
she can become one the greatest composers in our modern time sure Mozart is on the greatest but it is unfair to say that Emily can never become as good as him like someone pointed out Mozart didn't reach his peach till 18 and his death so stop being a jealous prick man thats all u r!
I wish I had SOME kind of talent. My Father was a gifted carpenter. He could build a home basically by himself. He was also artistic, working with oils, watercolors, acrylics, charcoal, pencil, pen, a fine carver of would and even did some sculpting. He never tried to sell anything. (Although, he did sell the first Duck he ever tried to carve to his boss for $1,000.00 Cant's say no to the boss) He did them for pure enjoyment and as a hobby.
She sucks and she will never be as good as Mozart. Mozart was a multiinstrumentalist and was brilliant at composing in many different genres. Also Mozart could listen to something once and the write it down in music form. Mozart was a complete music prodigy. This girl is just a talented pianist and a talented composer, but she needs a lot more than this if she wants to compare to Mozart. Mozart was a one off talent. There will never be anyone like him certainly not this girl.
@betterunknown It is more important to get the message across that she sucks and is way overhyped. That is why I post the same message on every Emily video.
@WhoLueYou It's enough to voice your opinion, but to say that someone "Sucks" is uncalled for. You may believe that Mozart is untouchable. But it does not give you the right to squander someone's talent and belittle their ambition. I don't believe that Ms. Bear is aspiring to become better than Mozart. She's merely playing the piano very well. She's writing beautiful compositions. It seems to be amazing to all of us, why can't it at least be adequate to you?
@WhoLueYou You're retarded. You're comparing Emily to an adult Mozart, not Mozart as a five year old child. If you were to compare Mozart as a child to himself as an adult, he wouldn't compare favorably, either. Duh!
Emily is amazing. The fact that the head of the piano department at Julliard would choose to mentor her says volumes.
@WhoLueYou you say she sucks and then call her a talented pianist and a talented composer? ... retard... envy is eating you up alive because you know you can never be what she is. she is five years old, has been playing for five months, and plays better than most 18 year olds who have been playing for years. NO ONE said she was comparing herself to Mozart, so you need to get your head out of your ass and realize that you are a dick and that she is amazing
lol ive alwayz been into piano i had wrote a few things but i nvr had a piano so i never new wat it would sound like on piano just had never got to put it down. so now im 15 and ive been takin piano lessons for 6th month but i dont think im wrighting music yet really this girl hurt me in the inside :(
OMG, perfect screen shots done by professionals. It's hard to believe this girl is actually gifted from birth. I'm multi-talented, well that's what my friends say. I'm the 2nd best in piano out of all my friend who play, the best player has played for 3yrs, she does spinning song and all that other songs. I have friends who played longer and already caught up to them without having a months worh of lessons, hehe!!!
"That was Terrible! I didn't like that at all! Frankly wretched!"......
.....Is what I might've said, if I had played this video with the sound off, while stepping on the cat's tail, and my head turned away from the monitor! Ya' know, it's one thing to read sheet music, and then be able to bang-out a recognizable tune-- It's outright AMAZING that this young lady plays so effortlessly AND with true musical feeling-- "Soul" which, like common sense, cannot be taught in a classroom!
@DanielaEspinosaMusic Ummm... I'm not sure whether you agree w/ me, and are simply reiterating my sentiments, or if you misunderstood my post.
Just to clarify (since my posting may have been a bit confusing): My intention was to convey that I believe "...it's outright AMAZING that this young lady plays so effortlessly AND with true musical feeling..."
She HAS a TRULY impressive, NATURAL talent-- that which cannot be taught!
No, at this point Emily had only been playing for 5 months. You can verify through her website or by a little detective work with the video compilations on YouTube. Not only does she play these songs, she's written nearly 400 of them. Truly a prodigy.
no ! your detective works sucks!!! b4 you open your mouth do some research of your own! from Emilys website " began piano studies at the age of five with Emilio del Rosario at The Music Institute of Chicago. " why do u think she worked with such a big timer?!?! Bc she was brilliant and has been composing and impressing since she was 3! she started younger than that.
lol okay, bergermann. Here's a quote from Emily's own website:
"Pianist Emily Bear has only been playing piano for three years, but at just eight years old, her accomplishments are inspiring and her talent is breathtaking."
8 minus 3 equals 5. Riiiighhhht?? So, by the admission of her own website, she started playing at age 5, not age 3.
She played simple scales prior to age 5 but had NO formal training before then. Want me to do that research for u as well?
concert pianist grandmother whose "made it a career to musically gifted children like emily" 2 years old one month!! so you think that she wasnt taught by her grandmother from 2-5 1/2 yo? seriously you are dumb to think that
Beautiful.

@momentinpassing
She started lessons at 5, but before that she did play by herself.

wholueyou chill out man shes very talented and has a lot of potential to become even greater than she is now if she continues to stay on this path and be taught by mentors and other famous composers and teachers
she can become one the greatest composers in our modern time sure Mozart is on the greatest but it is unfair to say that Emily can never become as good as him like someone pointed out Mozart didn't reach his peach till 18 and his death so stop being a jealous prick man thats all u r!

I couldn't draw a straight line with a ruler, LOL

She sucks and she will never be as good as Mozart. Mozart was a multiinstrumentalist and was brilliant at composing in many different genres. Also Mozart could listen to something once and the write it down in music form. Mozart was a complete music prodigy. This girl is just a talented pianist and a talented composer, but she needs a lot more than this if she wants to compare to Mozart. Mozart was a one off talent. There will never be anyone like him certainly not this girl.
WhoLueYou 1 year ago
@WhoLueYou are you just copying and pasting the same thing on every Emily Bear video??? you made the same comment on the Ellen video. Weirdo.
betterunknown 1 year ago
@betterunknown It is more important to get the message across that she sucks and is way overhyped. That is why I post the same message on every Emily video.
WhoLueYou 1 year ago
@WhoLueYou It's enough to voice your opinion, but to say that someone "Sucks" is uncalled for. You may believe that Mozart is untouchable. But it does not give you the right to squander someone's talent and belittle their ambition. I don't believe that Ms. Bear is aspiring to become better than Mozart. She's merely playing the piano very well. She's writing beautiful compositions. It seems to be amazing to all of us, why can't it at least be adequate to you?
MrChocoPocky 1 year ago
@WhoLueYou You're retarded. You're comparing Emily to an adult Mozart, not Mozart as a five year old child. If you were to compare Mozart as a child to himself as an adult, he wouldn't compare favorably, either. Duh!
Emily is amazing. The fact that the head of the piano department at Julliard would choose to mentor her says volumes.
kedisbrow 1 year ago
@kedisbrow I think Emily is really good, but Mozart was much better even when he was the same age as her. Emily is fantastic!!
buzzy1010 1 year ago
@WhoLueYou I agree with that and I can also tell you that for me, she's not a genious, just a very dedicated person.
reptila98 1 year ago
@WhoLueYou you say she sucks and then call her a talented pianist and a talented composer? ... retard... envy is eating you up alive because you know you can never be what she is. she is five years old, has been playing for five months, and plays better than most 18 year olds who have been playing for years. NO ONE said she was comparing herself to Mozart, so you need to get your head out of your ass and realize that you are a dick and that she is amazing

Simply amazing, she is!!!

shes definately been playing more than 5 months
bbergermann 1 year ago 6
@bbergermann
No, at this point Emily had only been playing for 5 months. You can verify through her website or by a little detective work with the video compilations on YouTube. Not only does she play these songs, she's written nearly 400 of them. Truly a prodigy.
queenfoursuited 1 year ago
@queenfoursuited
no ! your detective works sucks!!! b4 you open your mouth do some research of your own! from Emilys website " began piano studies at the age of five with Emilio del Rosario at The Music Institute of Chicago. " why do u think she worked with such a big timer?!?! Bc she was brilliant and has been composing and impressing since she was 3! she started younger than that.
bbergermann 1 year ago
@bbergermann
lol okay, bergermann.
