Simple morphing... Back in the 90s that was a big deal, now you can download freeware than can do that.

How do you do that effect in Sony Vegas Pro 8.0?

I think you can use a green screen, for the people to stand in front of, and take pictures, then put the backround it and put the updated pictures after the old ones, and out the fading transitions in there and once they are all lined up it should work.
