@jessealien12 - Most of what I build is for my own consumption. When I get too many, I take a box down to a steampunk art gallery where they find them loving homes. It pays for my habit...
@jessealien12 - the gallery is Davenport and Winkleperry at the dot com of the same name. They do not usually offer merchandise on their website. Message me if you would like to be given a chance to buy something before I take in another box.
@jessealien12 - I am just offering to give you first refusal when I have some. No issues if you do not want one. I have been consistently amazed at what people will pay.
@enganear ok i am in 8th grade i have an advanced mind but go through very confusing part when i cant make out 2+2 sometimes i cant understand this right now "I am just offering to give you first refusal when I have some. No issues if you do not want one" this is mainly my head hurting and brain functions not acting good also one that i would like would be a medium to small size rifle or large pistol i am creating an "agent" style costume i am 40% their. last i say good day professor
@responder555 - I make all of the props you see here from combinations of common everyday items mostly found in thrift stores. I modify and apply various finishes to achieve the steampunk effect. For example, the gauges across the top are just a repurposed desk clock and the thruster assembly is a double candle wall sconce turned upside down, The nozzles are tops of Miller Lite cans, and the controller started life as a Buzz Lightyear wrist blaster.
@ProfessorUpsidasium - I shall be be there good Professor! Please visit my display at the Steampunk Exhibition in the Westin Ballroom on Sunday between the hours of on and three in the afternoon and make yourself known to me.
well lets say if really worked u first need some rocket fuel and be a billionare, and lets say u fly your back would burn!!! well its fiction !!!! lets give him the credit if i had his imagination i would be rich now !!!! really cool project
@KrondarQ - Like many of my projects, I got my inspiration from objects I have accumulated. The black housings are discarded prototypes for passenger airbag housings and the brass burner section is a double candle wall sconce turned upside down. After holding those pieces next to each other, the rest just fell in place. The concept fits in well as a support prop for my steampunk persona - an agent for "The Company". Think of it as a Victorian era MIB.
@ninjagnuen - I do sell on occasion, I sell because I desire to build many more things than I can possibly display, not because there is any real money to be made. Having someone buy something you have created is a form of acknowledgement that what you have done is worthwhile. There is a small steampunk gallery that asked to carry my props and they seem quite popular.
@petrino - My heart goes out to you and your fellow Norwegians. Know that we stand united with you in facing down those who would try to intimidate through terrorism. My wife's family is originally from Norway. I am glad to hear you liked the video.
@petrino - sounds lonely, but also sounds like an opportunity to get in at the start of something big. England is HUGE for steampunk and France is also very active. Get some people together dressed in steampunk and go somehwere, people will ask questions and get involved.
@enganear tried. didnt work. people arent over the whole goth thing here... ive alienated most girls my own age because of my hatred of vampire stories.( the sparkly kind)
what do you do with the guns after you make them and take them off the corner

Anyways I love it! A job well done if I say so myself!

@DJelectfire - LOL, I did think about adding a leather apron for just such protection, but my steampunk ensemble is already too hot...

Does this pack have any particular background behind it? Some expedition by some Victorian-English-sounding company or something like that?

@enganear Cool. Are there any other members of the The Company? I can imagine there could be some stories to be made of the group.
KrondarQ 7 months ago
@KrondarQ - Maybe I should start a group on Facebook. I could send members on various missions and request followup reports. Sounds like great fun!
enganear 7 months ago
@enganear Sounds cool. I hope to hear of their exploits then.

you should get a few buddies together and make a short film with all your props
that would be pretty cool~!
