I'm not against hunting by any means. But I find it extremely irritating to hear people say we NEED to hunt deer, otherwise they would over-populate, without mentioning the fact that we killed off all of their natural predators.

Hunting is fine because there is a lot of deer.......BUT it is very wrong to poach, which means to hunt outa season if you didn't know and that is completely wrong. If you don't have your doe tags don't shoot doe and if you don't have ur buck tags don't shoot the freakin bucks......and never shoot a fawn, it's just wrong. Cool Vid! ♥

27% of coyotes diet in fall is fawns. some might be carrion but still that is a lot of deer being lost'. I heard of one guy that saw a pack of coyotes chasing a doe. he shot at a coyote and they left. The deer was hurt so bad that she went down and did not get up.. maybe she was wounded of sick but the coyotes were killing her!

if deer aren't hunted they over breed and there isn't enough food for all of them. So hunters buy a permit to hunt the males to help keep the population under control. The deer meat in stores and restaurants is from deer farms here in the USA. I don't know about the rest of the world. But I did see Chef Ramsey cooking and eating venison from the USA in the UK.

@uchihasrox Most meat in stores whether it is deer, cow, bison, elk etc, is farm raised, Unfortunately since we killed off most of the natural predators hunting is necessary to keep wildlife populations under control, Now with more and more natural habitats shrinking due to human development and expansion, the need for hunting is decreasing.

@puffnbrew2 further more not sure where the hell you live but due to FDA regualtions different states may have wild game donor programs to where you can donate the animal you harvested to feed the hungry, which is a great program but i have yet to see ANY store have wild game meat on their shelves for the public to buy, and yes the meat in stores is ranch or farm raised is also jacked up on growth hormones to yield more meat, harvesting wild game by hunting is the only way to get true free range

@puffnbrew2 okay the need for hunting is increasing unless you want deer in your backyard and coyotes going through your garbage cans with racoons oppossum and disease ridden rodents living amongst your family and pets hunting is part of nature and those of us who enjoy responsibly and humanely are causing no trouble in fact we're helping keep the animal population to a number that keeps the animals well fed and plenty of room to roam with food on the table.

That coyote wasn't stalking the deer at all looked to me like he was looking for rodents. Plus the deer were more nervous about the guy with the camera then the coyote looking for mice.

I would guess that more than one coyote would be needed to take down a deer, but coyotes are quite fast, they can reach speeds of up to 43mph.
