  • where was the 9 coach hst?

  • @harri395 I think FGW got rid of them hence the stored MK3 buffet cars but are now being turned into TSO's.

  • It is a rare sight to see Intercity First Great Western trains depart and arrive at London Waterloo rather than its usual terminus, Paddington. The train journey between London Waterloo and Penzance on a rare occasion is fascinating.

  • love it

  • these trains need to be transported to the US to show them what a HST train looks like

  • @selx13 or just show them this video ;)

  • not really as a full stopping service takes about 5 hours between exeter & Waterloo

    Exeter - Paddington takes about 4 hours ... ?

  • @buttercupline Yes but that is via Surbiton and HST are not allowed though Surbiton due to gauging issues so they have go go via Hounslow or Richmond to get into London Waterloo. Hence it will be a longer journey time!!! Because it was with these diversions.

  • Top video, 5* all the way :D

  • fgw sound run and hourly high speed service from exeter to waterloo non stop

  • @buttercupline They do a service like that but from London Paddington via the B&H!

  • @justinfoulger it would be much better to London Waterloo

  • @buttercupline Well yes but HST's won't be rare at London Waterloo any more if they did that and there would be longer journey times as well.

  • @justinfoulger how would it be longer journey times

  • @buttercupline So what route do you think it will take then?

  • @justinfoulger well once reading has been updated they will got to London PAD what im saying is they should run a hourly service from exeter to London Waterloo as it would be right into the city and would help now that Air south west is scrapping its flights into London Gatwich which leaves not plymouth to london direct air link

  • @buttercupline So what route would they take from Plymouth to London Waterloo??

  • @justinfoulger it would be plymouth - totnes - newton abbot - dawlish - exeter st davids - Exeter st thomas - digby & sowton - and London Waterloo

  • @buttercupline What route would it take more near to London?

  • @buttercupline digby & sowton in devon tisbury - basingstoke clapham junction put in daniels south west trains announcment thats a good'n

  • @buttercupline Ok but It would still be a very long journey compared to going via Reading and into London Paddington.

  • Top Marks For Bravery(In The Cold!)
