  • I was thinking about getting one of these BLI 2-8-0s. would you reccomend them?

  • Accucraft sells this as a live steam loco meaning it still boiles water like the real thing cept smaller.

  • I like everything about the train besides the whistle

  • thats ho scale

  • its o scale narrow guage on HO scale track to get the effect of smaller track

  • It's O scale narrow gauge. Specifically On30, or 30" between the rails. The nice thing is that O scale 30" gauge has the same distance between the rails as HO scale standard gauge, so you can use the cheap tracks.

  • i live in victoria BC to cool man

  • Beautiful! Thank you for posting. I am in the market for a DCC system. Would you still recommend your Bachmann Easy DCC? Thanx again.

  • its an ok system, but very basic and limited, with DCC splash the cash, but do try them out if you can before buying

  • I myself use this system..., if u do not need to program or change any thing on ur loco i would recommend this system, u can control 10 engines plus the sounds and functions, however u can't program anything at all, u can only change the number that the engine responds on, but besides that i haven't had any problems with it.

  • I got it on ebay for maybe $185??? I can't remember. Was a while ago.

  • yours came letterd like that I assume NCNGRR with is Nevada County Narrow Gauge railroad I will have to look for one letterd like that ..that was a railroad that ran out of Colfax California

  • Neat. I liked the lettering, but now have repainted it. I did not really care what railway colours it came in, as it would have been repainted anyway. THanks for the info. I have never heard of Colfax. I'll Google it. I do like learning about narrow guage the world over.

  • yah those are great little engines I own one letterd Rio Grande Southern in the sunrise herald my one complaint with them is the generic sound of the whistle and bell it sounds to fake but all in all for the price they are really nice little locos..I have a second one I bought that is superdetailed basiclly backdated some big carbon ark box style headlight and wooden cab also RGS with crew

  • Where did you find that engine and how much was it?

  • that is ho or oo gauge not 0 gauge

  • This loco is O scale (1:48) that runs on HO track. Therefore it is like a real loco with 30 inches between the rails, hence "On30"

  • Is that Bachman?

  • nvm, but I just have 1 more question:

Did the set already have sound instaled? My grandpa wants one of these.

  • THis is a Broadway Limited loco. It came with sound.

  • Good looking loco, but the sound cant touch the Tsunami. Look at your drivers, the chuffs are WAY off.

  • If not mistaken those can be adjusted by changing the values in the correct CVs.

  • I had not adjusted the CV's yet.

  • Unless you have a different DCC system then you can't change the CV's...the EZ command dosen't support it.

  • Man that is a nice locomotive. I have the Bachmann DCC and a Broadway Limited loco and it wouldn't move or anything. But the DCC is very nice they did a good job. Hope to see more of your trains.

  • Thanks. You will see more. We recently built a new house and so I have been without my trains for about 7 months. Not much longer now...

  • Nice! By the looks of it, it was originally a model of a D&RGW C-16. Am I correct?

  • Yes

  • Yes, a D&RGW prototype. It is now completely painted and kit-bashed into a Newfoundland Railway loco.

  • I going to get one of these soon, cant wait! Just one question. What address does the decoder come with? I know Bachmann ones are 3 but this might be deffernt.

  • That is just too cool

  • Thanks.

  • hey Terry,Mac from panama City,Florida. Enjoyed your On30. I'm getting ready to convert to On30 so as to be more inline with my Christmas Village. I actually have a few buddies from Grand Falls/Windsor. maybe someday we can meet up when I'm on the Rock. Mac

  • Neat. My dad is from Grand Falls - Windsor. Are you originally from Florida?

  • No boy, from Penna. but I spent 10 years in Goose Bay working and married a girl from Cartwright. She worked 16 years in Pilly's Island and has several frinds in Grand Falls. Where are you now ?

  • I am in Victoria, British Columbia. Diagonally opposite you in North America. :)

  • I C,thought u where on the Rock. I was in BC this past summer. Did the train trip across Canada.Great trip, wish it could have been from coast to coast

  • I have taken the cross country on VIA as well.

  • sorry my comuter is really mest.

  • how much was the train all together?

  • I got this loco on eBay for around $150, which I thought was a good deal.

  • how much was the train all together?

  • I think it is called protosound system

  • OSI sound system.

  • It's a TWO RAIL!!!! ON30 trains run on HO track.

  • I also love three rail.

  • It is a 3 rail.

  • My MTH wabash hudson has the same sound system but the whistle sounds diffrent.

  • Neat. Is it two or three rail? Or one of their HO offerings?

  • Cute. <3

  • awesome

  • Thanks. It is a great loco. I'm building a layout now to run it (and others) on.

  • wow youre quick to respond
