Binge cam strikes again! Thats one mammoth muffin.
So you have towns called bum fuck too? Small world!
Great update and it shows we are in for some good weather down here soon, been shit lately. Although I'm like you and dont like constant heat, cant escape it easily. Definitely saw the vampire face, like instantly which is weird as I can stare at those 3d artworks and not see anything.
I couldn't guarantee not bingeing again in future! Soon I'll have to go on the World's Biggest Loser or something.
As for bum fucks, I was pretty sure there was a town somewhere on earth that was called it but not sure where. It's in NZ!!
Well it's been mid 30s for days. Adelaide is even hotter, as usual. Personally I don't mind extreme heat, even the low to mid 40s, as long as it doesn't last too long.
I think that's what makes your videos so great, that you just record, and whatever comes out comes out. John and I are like that, too. Can't wait for your next vid, I love 'em. Stay cool and remember to use sunscreen!!
Yea, you survived the rock! *high fives* I think I could see a vampire face, but then I'm prone to seeing things, hee hee. I can't blame them for sticking a discovery centre alongside it, but it seems to take away the mystique of the place. I just assumed there was nothing around it, big open space as Weir's film indicated, I guess its changed a lot since 1975 when they made it, and it was set in what 1900, so they did their best to make it remote. Still, that was immensely cool to see, thanks!
Yep I survived to tell the tale :) Didn't get lost, AND in the middle of a spring heatwave!
Not surprisingly, the discovery centre had a number of displays on the making of that movie. The school scenes were filmed at a place in South Australia - about a 10 hour drive away! Having a day picnic there is an old tradition apparently. And since it is not remote, it is an easy day trip. I would've taken in a few local wineries too if time permitted, but alas it did not.
Oh no that's a great trip just with the Rock itself. I don't doubt that. I'm surprised they don't have a "Peter Weir trail", hee hee. He really introduced the world to the Rock with his film. Wow, that is far, the magic of cinema. Glad the Rock didn't swallow you whole or whatever it does, hee hee. Cool, thanks again!
Awesome video mate. That place at the end of the video where you went to see the plane, thats 5 minutes from my house (greenvale). Mount Macedon I like more then hanging rock apparently my neighbour tells me we can see it from our balcony (he may have been drunk) Great video mate, very entertaining.
Ah yes I was a stone's throw from your joint. Man you must hear those planes living that close!
At least you don't have to pay to access Macedon. Hanging Rock used to be free, but that was years ago. I remember going up to Mt Macedon in early 1983 as a kid, after the Ash Wednesday fires and seeing it completely blackened. Never forgotten it.
The planes are actually pretty far believe it or not. I live on a hill so I see the planes land from a distance. I imagine seeing all that bush land blackened must have been a pretty extraordinary experience.
Yeah it was weird. No birds, insects, it's dead silent.
Actually I was thinking that out your way you folks would be in a bit of a fire danger area during those hideous hot north winds, especially once those grasslands dry out.
I think we never thought of having a fire plan because we are only 15-20 minutes away from the city but we probably are at risk aswell because of all the surrounding bushland.
The government was saying that everywhere is at risk this season, even some suburbs close to Melbourne. I mean if it's going to get to 45 or 46C like last summer then that's probably true.
this was such a lulzy video Aussieroadshow!! Extremely hot weather-NOT COOL : P You should do more of these videos, your antics are so lulzy.Yea looking at the landscape of the places its a wonder how they shot there.
I thought that hanging rock was more that, I guess the reputation it has built up makes it sound more epic, I've always wanted to go but now I see what it really is. Couldnt exacly see the vampire in vampire cliff. The best types of muffins come from country towns as always.
Yeah the actual little 'Hanging Rock' thing is an anti-climax, but the whole park itself is a nice day trip because it is not so big that you have to stay longer.
That vampire thing doesn't show up too well on camera.
Hanging Rock...what a payoff that was! Like a bad horror movie where you find who the killer was and you're like "WHAT?!"

When I saw that rock I felt like crushing someone with it. Seriously what a disappointment. But to be fair it was a nice day out.

I live for these vids of yours, buddy. I sprayed tea all over the keyboard during this one, you're so funny. You should sing on the next one, too.

I had a sherbert waffle cone. Had to lick it quick cos it was melting real fast. I would drive back to Mr Whippy just to get another.
Glad you like these vids! They are never planned or rehearsed. I think they turn out better that way.

I was actually thinking about that yesterday and whether we need a fire plan.
dvdfan11 2 years ago
I seriously think a fire plan is a good plan buddy! I mean it's spring, but it's like mid summer already and is gonna dry out big time soon.

Thanks again. I'll try to avoid filming on the super hot summer days! Well I'm glad there were a few laughs. This vid wasn't planned out well.
It must have taken them months to make that film back in the 70s.
