i have a pair of slim jims im not sure what kind they are but i know they are not raw. My ? how could i stop them from bleeding on my sneakers. Would soaking them help that problem or would it just mess them up??

i think mine are thin finns. mens ones in gray with a sort of wax coating. Bought two whole years ago and Havent seen the inside of a washing machine once lol. They seem to be fine, the material is not really absorbent so doesn't get smelly.

I have been wearing Spurr classics and washed them for the first time in 6 months... Either the indigo is fused to denim or Spurr has to be worn at least a year prior to washing, every day. You may also want drag your ass on the carpet for a speedy solution. :-)

im confused, so some people say its better to wash nudies in cold water to keep the blue dye in as long as possible BUT some people say to wash it very hot to make the colors bleed more

It's up to you. Everyone's preference is different =p.

But if you do wash in hot water, they will shrink more than in cold water.

If you don't want that to happen, when they're damp, you can just pull/stretch them to retain their length/etc.

I think that depends on how you want them to look like.

hot wash: more fades, lighter blue

cold wash: less fades, darker blue

Sanforized denim doesn't need to be washed at all. Don't ever ever ever wash your jeans.

So... I get you're not supposed to wash them cause it preserves the color and all that good stuff. But... won't they get dirty and feel gross? And possibly smell?

possibly :-) if they are looser then probably not. Tight jeans probably will if you sweat too much or live in warm climate. You can soak them inside out.

My mom said they added vinegar to preserve the color. She had worn a pair for 3 years and a couple of soaks(back in the 80s in Russia) to keep denim in top shape.

Doesn't sanforized mean they are preshrunk before you buy them, so that if you were to wash them they would not shrink? It's perfectly okay to wash your jeans, in fact washing them once a year can give them a beautiful finish; well, thats what I have found anyways...

60 degreesm if u want a darker cast then wash at 40, if u want them still the same then dry clean then as it contains no water so it wont reck the dark colour look

i'll admit they have some pretty fine looking slims..but I am a Lee's fan, and Lee's are about $210 cheaper. Plus, they look fantastic after a few washes and have a broader range. If Nudies were much, much, MUCH cheaper.....

Nudies are made completely incorrectly. buy ANY other brand of dry denim and observe how much thicker they are. i have some SJ's too, and before them i never once had a pair of jeans rip in the crotch, but apparently it is a common problem with these shitty jeans. do yourself a favor and don't spend $200+ on garbage, go out and get your self a pair of Cheap Mondays if you're trying to see what the dry denim thing is all about.

Nudies (Slim Jim's in particular) are notorious for their crotch rips. I think they are very overrated. I have some much cheaper and great looking Levis jeans for years and years and they seem to last forever. They faded fantastic and they are the perfect jean. On the other hand I bought some expensive Nudie SJ's and had a crotch rip after 8 months. They are too thin anyway. Nudies are expensive and overrated and overall not so good.
