  • windows copied Linux and osx, who cares they all bounce ideas off one each other

  • Ijcot is right. Most people don't have a clue about computers, you don't have to blame the operating system for being a dumb-ass concerning your computer. U, the mac fanboy, should consider this; almost anything that has been corrupted on a pc can be recovered. If u can't do it, get to an IT-store, they will. Have you tried bringing in a crashed mac and asking if they can recover your data? They'll laugh in your face.

  • hey i have vista and i hate MYSELF for having purchased it!!!!!

  • Their voice recognition software is still crappy even after almost 3 years of updates, patches, and fixes. LOL

  • Same reasons as always for hating vista. I'm not even going to waste my time explaining why you are so stupid.

  • Well if they are the "same reasons as always", then maybe more people than you think are having the same problems....

  • I think it is more likely that you are part of the majority of computer users that don't have a clue what they are doing.

If you're too stupid to know how to run proper anti-virus software and keep your computer up to date you deserve to have problems.

By the way since I got my computer at the beginning of April last year I have not had a virus, trojan or any other malware on my computer. I've had many things try to attack my computer but nothing has ever got past my antivirus.

  • Actually, I do know what I'm doing. I choose not to install anti-virus software. It slows down your computer, and honestly with my experience, by the time something was found, it was too late. It's a waste of money in my opinion. Call it stupid, call it whatever you want, but I hate anti virus software. You don't need any on OSX...

  • My exact thoughts. added:Why do people compare the new to the old. Of course Vista uses more ram than XP. XP isn't as stable with multiple applications with the same ram though. They use about the same power. +with newer computers with improved speed and processing power vista is a sure thing. Don't cry when your old system gets obsolete, get a new one. Its the cycle of technology. Did you guys see my Dead Space video in HD btw(edited with windows movie maker)

  • Vista IS shit... bought a new pc, Asked to have windows XP! salesman said, he had almost everyone saying the same thing... not suprising, the OS is unstable, crashes all the time, and I would have thought it was just me, until I rang for help and was told 'it's quirks of Vista'

    What a pile of shit!

  • I agree. I'm sure it's an OK OS if you have a super fast computer, but it's not worth it. With that money, you could just get a Mac and run any OS you want, and have it perform better and last longer.

  • take a look at one of my videos showing a pentium III loading vista actually fairly quickly. How old is a PIII? 8-9 years old...maybe 10?

Also about Macs running any OS and lasting longer...tell that to the G4 and G5 users getting left in the dark with Snow Leopard. How sad is it that a top of a line machine such as a Quad G5 is unable to have the latest OS.

  • @cpukid00

BTW that video I did booting Vista on a PIII, its called "Vista on old hardware" so you can search for that on youtube.

  • MAC IS WHACK

u talk about vista is shit etc. but only show a stupid bar in MAC..

i dont need that sidebar for nOObs..

vista has sidebar too and with much more extras and features.. can u play GTAIV on ur mac??

can u watch videos and music without any codec and realplayer??

if u dont know how to use vista shut the fuck up!

  • Lol unlike you, I've used both OS's, and for awhile. I have had no problems on OSX, when in Windows, I get them constantly. And yes, I can play GTA IV on my mac. Because I can use boot camp and install windows to play it if I really wanted to. Can your PC install OSX (legally, and without troubles) No, it can't. When you can just install Windows on a Mac, buying a PC is just stupid, unless you want a very cheap system, but you get what you pay for.

  • I've been using Vista since the first day it came out any never had any problems with it--not even one virus. Everyone that complains about Vista not running slow is because they're below the minimum requirements. You can't expect Vista to run on a 5 year old pc but if you meet of exceed the minimum requirements it runs absolutely perfectly. The reason macs run so nice is because it's their operating system on their hardware--you shouldn't expect anything less than perfect.

  • The only thing about Vista's minimum requirements is that they are too high. By the time you upgrade an old computer to Vista specs, you might as well just buy a mac and get a computer that wasn't thrown together and has a reliable OS. Thats why everyone is downgrading to XP. ITs more reliable than Vista and runs on old hardware just fine.

  • @cpukid00

How is Vista's minimum supported system requirements too high? Vista's minimum requirements is a 800Mhz CPU, 512MB RAM and a 20GB hard drive. How old is a system like that? The PIII 800Mhz CPU was release in 1999.

Infact even Windows 7, an OS that came out in 2009 can run on a box from the year 2000 (1Ghz CPU, 1GB RAM).

Can you name even one Mac older than 2006 that can run Snow Leopard? No :)

  • I think Vista is really crap and CPUkid dude you are really right I'm going to do a video like your in related to vista! serious I am goddamn pissed! Dude I'm downgrading to XP now luckily so fuck of vista!

  • And you are not the only one downgrading. You would think Microsoft would get the message when so many people are downgrading, and use more money to fix Vista rather than run an expensive ad campaign that doesn't even endorse Vista. The only reason more people are on Vista is wither because they can't downgrade, or because they own Vista-only games. That is one of the big scams of Microsoft. They make DX 10 only games, forcing people to upgrade to Vista. Nice try Microsoft.

  • i prefer osx....but ive never really had any huge problems on vista

  • you lucky then lol. constantly get problems. Good choice with the mac though. Thanks for watching!

  • fucking nerd.. go outside and play

  • oh....big man now..maybe you should go outside since you don't like my videos.

  • The only reason people hate vista its because they are to stupid to know how to use it.

Virus? your fucking stupid, AVG is free runs really fast and is a good virus protection for being free.

if you only have a computer with 512 mb of ram then really you only need xp.

  • Too stupid? No. I've never tried AVG so I wouldn't know, but I don't need any virus protection at all on my mac. People hate vista for a reason, and it's not because they are "stupid", it's because Microsoft didn't do it right. The features it has aren't what people want or need. Plus they have to pick between what....4 or 5 different versions of it? Microsoft is confusing people, and taking up peoples computer resources, forcing them to upgrade their computer more than they should have to.

  • and he can't spell "you're"...

  • AMEN! Windows Vista is the WORST operating system on planet earth!

  • pretty much :P

  • CPUKID, dont bother discussing this with him, he will never agree, vista means far too much to him.

  • lol, thevistafreak would give his life to defend vista.

YOU ARE THE FANBOY, NOT CPUKID.

Oh yeah vistfreak your video response sucked so bad. half the things you said were complete shit.

  • well I did't wat to say that directly so that's why I made the video responses, proving him wrong. He really is the fanboy because he himself said he's never even used a mac, so hes just assuming Vista is better. But I've already tried explaining that to him, so I stopped trying.

  • This debate could go on for years with all versions of Windows and Apple past, present, and future. Your always gonna have fanboys like CPUKID that won't admit that Vista isn't as bad as it used to be. So im done with this whole thing its getting down right retarded. If you like Mac's fine buy Mac's if you like PC's fine buy PC's its your choicem personal preference whatever you wanna call it.

  • I'm all for not debating over this anymore, we have our opinions and such, but seriously, you guys need to stop with the fanboy bullshit. A fanboy is someone that just says something is better without reason, or without using it, and I have done both. I have used windows for years, and Vista for months, and after almost a month with OSX I like it so much better. It has more than Vista does out-of-the-box. IDC what you say, its the truth. So don't reply if you don't want, but I'm not a fanboy.

  • If you don't care what he said then why did you reply?

  • Because I'm tired of being called a fanboy when I'm not.

  • CPUKID if you really wanna go buy a Mac good for you. But don't say you hate Vista when you can't come up with good reasons. I will give you the virus thing but besides that all you ever say is "windows bullshit" what is that? From what I can see your experience with PC's hasn't been good. If you really believe Mac's are better go ahead an buy one just don't sit there saying Vista sucks when you don't have more then 2 reasons. Vista isn't perfect but it has come a long way since the launch.

  • I can (and did) come up with good reasons. You yourself haven't used a mac before, you said it yourself. So use a mac for yourself, and compare the things I talked about, and you will agree with me that compared to OSX, Vista is a joke. I've wasted more than enough time on Vista. Same to you though; if you want to use a PC then go ahead, you seem to have good luck with them, but I strongly suggest trying a mac.

  • I didn't ask to COMPARE I asked why you hate Vista and all you can come up with is why Mac's are better. You just have a liking to Mac's, now you don't have to bash Vista every chance you get just cause your a fanboy. Vista isn't perfect I know I have had some minor problems with it but nothing to make me wanna go buy a Mac. If their OS was open I would try it but I don't wanna have to downgrade my computer just to own a Mac that to me seems pointless yeah the software is great but at what cost.

  • FIRST OFF: I'm not a fanboy. I have reasons for why I hate Vista, and I have used both OS's. Also, what I did was give the reasons why I hate vista and state that mac does those things differently, and in most cases better. Yes I do have a liking to mac, but it's because I'm sick of windows for the reasons I talked about. I admit Mac isn't perfect either, not even close, but it's a hell of a lot closer than Vista is IMO. Believe me if you installed OSX on your computer u wouldn't be downgrading

  • Ok so if tomorrow I went and bought an iMac to get even close to what my computer is I would need to get the $2,200 model. With Core 2 Duo 3.6Ghz, 2GB Ram, 320GB HDD. That is still 3Ghz under my processor, 1GB under my Ram, and 180GB under my current HDD, not to mention the upgradability I would be losing switching to an All in One. So that would be a HUGE downgrade all because I want an OS really? I would have to get a MacPro to come get to where my comp is. Your staying where you are with iMac

  • Ok my mistake iMac 500GB HDD, 3.06Ghz Core 2 Duo.

  • And I'm ok with that. All I will ever need to/want to upgrade is my RAM. If something happens to it that I can't fix, I will send it back to apple(get applecare) and they will fix it no problem. And it's cool that you have a super computer and everything, but the thing is, OSX will still run just as good as vista runs on your super beefy machine because OSX is that much lighter than vista. Sure Vista will almost definitely run faster overall, but comparing the specs OSX won't be that far behind.

  • I mess with Sony,Toshiba,Alienware

  • Gateway makes emachines so yea it's a low brand.

  • Whatever, but either way, it shouldn't matter. It should still come with a restore disc.

  • Ok,but i think you got ripped off because i had two recovery disc. One was for the Toshiba it self and the second was a 64bitVista recovery disc if the OS is messed up.My stepfather turned my pc off when restoring.

  • thats never fun haha. I'm glad you got recovery discs, but I didn't, and yes I did get ripped off. I later found out that I only have 2 RAM slots, which really pissed me off. I will never buy another PC ever again, I'm much happier with OSX.

  • lol

  • uhm......? :P

  • lol

  • uhm......? :P

  • Also in this video can't help but notice you didn't say you got a virus now for someone who says he hates Vista that I would think would a very strong point. Anyway, where have YOU ever used a computer with 512MB? On Microsoft's website it says Vista can run on 512MB. Just because the website says it doesn't mean its true. Upgrading a 5 year old comp is pointless unless you strip everything and just use the case and some other components technology advances quickly 5 year old comp=obsolete comp.

  • You have to understand not everyone is like you. Not every person can afford a new computer. If someone can only afford the OS, but have an old computer, then it would work out for them. Also, what else is there to say about getting a virus? I get them, i need to restore. Simple, why keep repeating it?

  • HOW?!?! Is it Microsofts fault for not Apple not letting PC users buy their product?!?! If Apple opened up their OS to all computer they would be out of buisness in under 10 years. The fact is that the only reason Apple's computer division is open is because they closed their OS. PC's are way more bang for the buck if Apple opened up their OS they would still sell computers but not as many as they did before. It is Apples fault for not letting PC users use their OS.

  • I never said it was MS's fault that Apple doesn't open their OS, I said it was MS's fault that they opened theirs (windows). If MS was smart, they would have made it so it can only be installed on non-apple hardware. Apple is smart for keeping their OS closed. Also, Apple is too powerful to be shut down within 10 years. Even just in iPod sales, let alone iPhone, and now, macs are getting more and more popular as the days go on.

  • I got a restore disc with my Emachines which I bought at Best Buy.

I really don't mind Vista that much, after the first few months of hiccups transferring things over and it figuring out new programs, it's really not that bad at all.

But I'm not a fanboy, so I don't care either way.

I plan on saving for a MacbookPro.

I enjoy your videos mate -- good work.

  • I never really liked it, and either way, it shouldn't take months to get used to a computer. I got used to my mom's mac within a week. But it's cool your getting a mac, it will be the best computer you have owned.

  • cool vidz dude!

  • E machines is that low on the food chain - anybody that put together a machine in there basement WOULD most likely give you a disk or burn you a couple :D ROFL best buy is worse tehn most machines people build imo cool vidoe though i hate vista lol :D -- ram cheepo nowdays

  • -Emachines isn't THAT bad. I would know...I own one.

-even more reason for MS to give you one :P

-best buy is the best tech store, idk what your talking about.

-thanks, I'm glad you agree with me.

    -thanks for watching

    -:P

  • nice videos man, keep them up, and i hate vista to, im getting an imac in about a month though,

  • thanks dude, and great choice.
