This is beautiful.. Her voice is very much suited for songs like this.. She CAN sing, just that she has a soft lower voice. Not every singer has to belt out these notes.. So don't try to compare her to other singers out there because they are all different in how they sing.. She has a beautiful voice. SMH at those who say she can't. Her voice range is fine, but does need improving. Which she has done since she first started singing. As she continues to sing, her voice will become stronger. I'm not a fan or a hater. Just someone who likes music and to hear different vocal ranges.

And another thing, someone can have heart in a song, but if they can't sing the song right, people will ignore and criticize it. That's why it's recommended to have heart and a good voice. Selena's voice is soft, not light or weak, soft. We call that an alto. She can't sing high notes, but can still pull it off.

I don't think Selena has the pipes for this song. I mean, it sounds good and everything, but there's hardly any range or emotion imo. And yes, I know it's acoustic, but it would sound so much better she didn't sound so.. plain. She normally sings really upbeat songs that don't really require anything too drastic. I think that she should stay away from songs sung by people with some serious pipes because she can only sing really.. tame songs because her voice is weak. Just my two cents!

@OfficiallyAbigail If you think Selena's voice is plain and weak, then you might as well say the same thing about Colbie Caillat, Taylor Swift, Ingrid Michaelson or Norah Jones. They all sing songs that don't require high notes or wide-range, but that doesn't mean they're any less of a singer. They may not have big, powerful voices, but at least they can work with what they have.

@jayecab I hate all of those singers. It's my opinion that people who have weaker voices are less of a singer. Their songs may be catchy and all, but I think that they don't have as much talent as say Beyonce, Christina Aguilera, etc. And sure, that might Selena's style, but a lot more people can sing like Selena than like Pixie Lott. She's probably getting paid more than Christina and Pixie combined. Ridiculous. & Yes, that is plain and weak. Go listen to an Aretha Franklin song or something.

@OfficiallyAbigail That's fine, but there's a huge difference between "weak" voices and "light" voices. The singers that I mentioned all have light voices, and even light voices can be strong and/or unique. While you hear them as plain, most people can hear the depth of their voices. It's not always about who can sing the highest note or who can sing the loudest, none of that matters if there's no heart behind it.

I love Pixie-- And selena. But Pixie's version, one of my favorites. I don't really like this because Pixie shows such a wide range in her voice with this song. I'm not saying Selena should try to sound like her. But Selena should've tried more range in her voice It would've added depth., But not bad :)

Plus, they both sound completely different from each other, and they made their own spin on it. Who cares about wide range? If you sing it in your own way, then that's all that really matters.
