thanks spellcaster, break away bottle was purchased at a pro movie making shop. it was 30 bucks. We went through two of em for this shot. but every penny was worth it.
Break away table was made with styrofoam and cheap fabric from a big fabric store.
You know, I watched this clip a couple of times and it's so entertaining that I totally neglected to realize that the bottle that his you in the head may have really freaking HURT! Was that a break-away bottle or was it added in digitally in post? Whichever the case, it was so natural feeling that I just didn't think about it - That's the magic of the movies in true form, when you see something like that happen and just accept it without question. Great job however you did it! :)
Your right Isomer! It did hurt for a couple days ! It hit the bridge of my nose and it felt like a little stinging slap.
It was a beak away bottle but the bottom part didnt break, it bounced off the bridge of my nose and somehow did not break when it hit the floor. So... we managed to get two takes for the price of one break away bottle!
haha, I totally put this on repeat whenever they use it in BeyondTheTrailer, hilarious glad I can watch it repeatedly now.
