Cool. wish I understood how to make that happen. Now. make it wireless and sell the idea to powerball and make some money. Can you tell me what the hertz value does for me? They are now making a 350hrz ball and I'm not sure what the benefit would be over the 250?
Just get some books, devote some time, and be prepared to start with making LEDs flash with transistors. Start like that, work every components value out on paper then check it. Do the same thing over a again, understand whats going on and why it happens in the components and circuit, and bang there you have it. It isn't that hard. The firmware yes is a little trickey. U need to learn a langauge which is a absolute bugger.
I was gonna just joke about and say something stupid but seeing as you added this vid on Australia Day, I'll say its really cool and I want one even tho powerballs arent even mildly promoted in this country and I dont own one...
Well, I think that this is a little bit complicated if you don't known electronics circuits and specially how to use microcontrollers. The most complicated, the firmware inside of microcontroller. And, at the moment, the project is not public (maybe in the future)... sorry.
that is very useful, as say unhidden (5 months ago) "Its prettu simple to make a wireless meter. I" ... I think you or they (PB_NST) must create a big display to make see what you get-on going... on seeing that display the people will forget the ugly noise :-)
I was gonna say that's real pointless as the P/B has a built in meter. BUT seeing it in action, it makes an exelent P/B after market add on. Patient it, then approach P/B to buy the patent.
Its prettu simple to make a wireless meter. I have hearing aids and could conenct a microbone to the hearingaid into the soundcard.and then do pitch analysys of the sound that is generated by the changing magnetic field. When u put hearing aid to telemode u hear this clearly.

nice ofcourse very nice done,
but this brings me on an idea.
you could make an wireless connection between the build in cpu and a scorboard.
this way you could play against your friends and play matches tournament etc.
would be amazing!!

As far as i know its revs per second.
The add for the 250Hz one says it 15,000 rpm 15,000 / 60 = 250.
So 350Hz one should go to 21,000rpm
