@tigerbballer44 I like it. It definitely helps me get on target quicker. I've actually been thinking about putting my iron sights back on though, and maybe co-witnessing the red dot with the iron sights.
Thanks for the v ideo , i bought one of these over the summer , week later it went threw a flood been trying to figure out how to disasemble ever since lol
@huttwigley2 Ya doing good so far , everythings coverd in mud still so its taking a big longer , everything started to siese together. Thanks a ton again , i searched all over . for directions. I love the thing people laugh and call it a cheapo gun , but to be honest its a great gun. Shoots high end loads great as well as ball. I cant wait to start reloading some of my own for it. It should be fun and i should be able to get to hot loads . Take care.
I love these guns. They're ridiculously cheap, ridiculously simple, and ridiculously accurate. An excellent value all around. Thanks for the fantastic video!
Appreciate the video. I just bought mine and was trying to follow the very poor directions that came with it. Your video makes it seem easy -- so I'll give it a try. Many thanks.
@16conservationist I'm glad you found it useful. There are plenty of great videos about 995 take-down! I just wanted to do mine because I think my take on it is a little bit different. Thanks for watching!
@GunznPoker Thanks, GnP! I've had it a little over a year now and I only actually have about 500 or 600 rounds through it so far. When I was making this video I noticed there was a lot of wear on the inside of the slide. (I lubed those areas, but I'll be keeping an eye on that from now on!) Even with the after-market 15-round magazines I use, I have never had a single jam, mis-feed or hiccup of any kind. Considering I paid $225 for it, I think that's pretty damn good!
@huttwigley2 How do you like that sight? I've got this same carbine and thought it might be a fun, cheap addition to it

Do you have to take it completely apart to remove the rail that is under the barrel and is held in place by the front sight?
flynnskihobbin 1 month ago
@flynnskihobbin If you take the rifle down to where I am at about the 3:15 point of the video, then the under-barrel rail should slide right out!

I like the 995, I held one in a shop about a year ago and it felt pretty good. How's she running for you?
