As a tattoo artist I do a bit of lettering, script, writing, words, text, design, whatever you want to call it... And I am continually frustrated and dissatisfied with my style and balance. It's not that my work is bad, but I judge it pretty harshly. This was great to watch, and thank you! I enjoyed seeing how you get good balance and smoothness by supporting your hand with your other. Very cool. Again, thanks.
How fun to watch you while you do your lettering! And no question, like anything that looks easy, it isn't... I'd love to see some of your earliest work to see where you started! Really nice, thank you for posting this!
@whitbyjet65 I learn hand lettering mostly by myself. Went to a few sign shop around when I was a teenager but never got to ask many questions. I just watched. Learned mostly by trials and errors. There's years of practice put into that. Thanks for your interest!
Wow! I can literally feel the brush movement as you do that. My question is this: Is there any way to do lettering much, much smaller? If so, what kind of brush would be used? I need to do some lettering on the side of a scooter for an airbrush job. The lettering is too fine to cut a stencil so I figured I'd hand letter it.
Nice, glossy surface, the brush just glides across with no drag or bumps. Sign painters dream. What kind of paint are you using here, oil or water based??
very nice : )

This is awesome. I'm wanting to learn how to do this. We have to, or the old way of doing things will die off :(

very impressive, quick, legable, smooth curves. I have not touched a brush in years,.. here in Australia - it's even hard to buy brushes now!!
