Northwestern was somewhat respectable before this year...then, starting with this game, NU had one of the worst stretches (if not the worst) in college football history from 1973-1994

The Rudy movie was great, but as is common with movies "based on true stories" it is juked up with bullshit. Ex; in the movie, at the end, nearly the whole team is focused on Rudy with him being hauled off a hero. In real life, it was just a couple of players half-assed holding him up briefly with no one else paying any attention. The players never threatened to quit either. Oh well, Hollywood.
