But for every guitarist stringing chords together, every bassist flexing his fingers, every drummer flinging baby food, there's always been someone listening to whatever's played on the radio. I agree with you to some extent, in that real instruments are far more personal than synthesizers and FruityLoops. But I guarantee you that there are far more kids out there today who play guitar and listen to the Stones, Clapton, Hendrix, the Melvins and so on than aspiring DJ producers.

Nazi comparisons are unnecessary. Real rock has always been less popular than pop, even in the 70's and 80's. Rose-tinted glasses and all that.
