Benny Goodman was the guy who had the best selling version of the tune ... but many have since recorded it because of its "standard swing" designation.
This particular recording of "Roll Em'" isn't by Benny Goodman.
It was first heard back in 1937 ... two years into the ten year period most people refer to as the Swingin' Years.

Lmao...yeah, Cotton Tail is still considered one of the best, also Jumpin at the Woodside, for the changes and improv over them...so to dancers maybe not, but to us musicians. Completely different. One thing you dancers will never get...CHANGES, go study music, then you'll understand the leading tones, disonances, harmonics and how it "flows"...
