Hey my ps2 wont stay on. I thought it was the power cord so i bought one but it wasnt. In order to use it i have to hold the power cord down in the back. Do u know what is wrong and how to fix?

@Dhockey166 maybe the problem came from the power jack/connector of the ps2 slim itself. if it's broken ,it will need a hard soldering work. Can't be repaired by inexpert hands.

Had my oldest slim open today, put glue on the lid switches. Not sure if it will hold if not I guess I will have to use tape. I just want to make a freemcboot card with the 007 game swap trick!

when i opened mine up i was like WTF half of it was just the power supply,

but i still didnt found my chip. i need to know if its original or clone, uknow?

and for chip i mean modchip. to play backups or imports.

you have to solder it onto the PS2s motherboard.

U see the reset switch it has a lil white button mine CAME OFF when i was liquid cooling mine so im off to the tip to find another broken ps2 grab the fan and the lil switch come back and put it all back together!

Yes, simply because it'll let sony know you disassembled your console so they can reject support.

probably it is caused from the malfunction of the small engine that generates the spin, or controls that the cover are closed completely because the playstation has two blocks at the disk in case the cover remains opened.

That I know you can't use USB drives as memory and you can mod playstation via usb but it's depend from type of mod that you want to make . bye
