Joolz, why don't you sit in some of the real 90% of bradford architecture and tell us how we can live there just as nicely as we could in, say, Lyon or Dresden or Rotterdam (or anyplace that isnt california)... because, yay, actually we can! :)

Haven't been in Bradford centre for a few months now but have suggested to hubby that we go in one Sunday & just have a good walk around - if it ever stops raining.
Bradford has the shittiest road network in the UK. Laughable ring road & roundabouts on A650 (a 3 lane road) that are only wide enough for 2 cars. The Dudley Hill bottleneck 4 lanes into 1. PATHETIC!

I see things here I haven't seen since visiting the East End of London in the 80s, and things which make it feel like it is in another country. You can at least say there isn't anywhere else like it.
I know, I have to laugh or I'd be rocking and humming. Other choice locations I've resided in include Bridgwater in Somerset, Barrow In Furness and Keighley. I was thinking of trying Scunthorpe next.

Halifax is even worse than "Bratfod" for shopping all it has is charity shops and zilch places to park the piece hall and borough market desperately need pulling down,it's a town left behind the times but at least it doesnt smell just as bad as bratfod and the people aren't as dodgy.your really taking your life in your hands having a night out in Bradford or Leeds.

My husband is originally a Bradford man & we often go back to visit friends, I was a little disappointed the last time after a long gap between visits to see such apparent little progress made with the regeneration, i.e. still a lot of waste sites/broken down buildings etc. I think the city has such potential but am worried that the progress that started has slowed down to a crawl. What is currently happening with the regeneration? I'm hoping that its continuing & I got the wrong impression

My husband is originally a Bradford man & we often go back to visit friends, I was a little disappointed the last time after a long gap between visits to see such apparent little progress made with the regeneration, i.e. still a lot of waste sites/broken down buildings etc. I think the city has such potential but am worried that the progress that started has slowed down to a crawl. What is currently happening with the regeneration? I'm hoping that its continuing & I got the wrong impression
