  • What shop are you playing this guitar in? Id like to visit there. Looks like it has an excellent range of vintage guitars! Nice video!

  • this or the Squier classic vibe?

  • Nice vid Gav, sweet strat tones ! Cheers!

  • @Lespaul13100 thank you dude!

  • Hi Gav, I just ordered a woodstock white Icon from digital village. will it have an alder body or a polar one?

  • @JamesMacbear thanks for buying Vintage! I believe the V6MRWW is Poplar

  • @scooteringBMXbassist haha I've bought the guitar, but i have to say that I'm not 100 percent satisfied, . The frets are ground down very badly

  • you would be very very surprised at who i actually am ,,,a lead guitarist yes -- i am very pleased you are happy with your own skin , i just think you should know that underneath a lot of what you play you are a very accomplished guitarist -i never post vids of the band too easily recognised - you are a top player and in my opinion you dont have to shred and sweetpick as much as you think have confidence young sir now be off with you until another day

  • @jakeste :-)

  • now to be fair you started this very well but you just cannot leave that shred alone can you youre actually a very good guitarist you dont need all that stuff gav

  • @jakeste :-)

  • Doens't the reissued series have Alder body and Icon series have Eastern Poplar??

  • @Rinxas your absolutely right - always happy to be put straight on stuff like this. RE-issued, solid colour bodies are alder, Icon series are poplar - except for the Thomas Blug and V6HMR. At the time this video was made two years ago, the discussions were heading in the direction of making all V6 guitars alder.

  • i watched this video hundred times, before i bought this guitar :D

  • Hi Folks I currently use one of these as my main working axe. My band covers everything from folk to modern(ish) pop & classic rock and am pleased to say I have had no major problems that normal maintenance does not take care of.

Most players that see us are convinced that I have spent a couple of hundred on new p'ups as an upgrade and are astonished that I haven't.

There were a few niggles with fit and finish but at this price not a worry. I genuinely gig this guitar 2-4 times a week :)

  • Thanks for your reply. I have now bought one of these, and it delivers!

  • @alex45632759781432 hey thank you!! :-)

  • Is it locking tuners on this model? That tremolo abuse was impressive. Never tried a strat that can handle such

  • @alex45632759781432 They are Trev Wilkinson designed EZ-Lok machine heads - a brilliant simple design with just two holes in each post. You put the string into the first hole, then straight into the 2nd and it keeps pitch much better than a standard machine head.

  • hey can sombody please send me a link to the vintage web site im having trouble locating it thanks great playing

  • @lukekkv there isn't a dedicated Vintage website but you can check out all the guitars at t all the W's JHS dot CO dot UK

  • Hi,

i'm in the market for a new guitar (just started playing on a lend guitar) and I really like this sort of guitar. But is there really no difference between the

Vintage V 6 Reissued Boulevard BK and the Vintage Icon V 6 Distr BK except for the 'wear and tear' look? Because I'm not sure if I want to invest an extra 120 euro's for just the wear and tear look. :)

    Great playing btw!

    Best regards,

    Chris from the Netherlands

  • @dackenisking thanks for watching and your kind comments. In terms of materials hardware, pickups etc they are identical. it's just the artificial aging takes more time and therefore adds costs. However, the V6MRBK Icon also has a one-piece maple neck and fingerboard that again adds to the price.

  • Awesome sound!

  • wow im mega into vintage guitars and have never seen so many in the same place where is that shop?

  • Hi Matt - it's at the JHS showroom in Garforth. (JHS are the company that own and distribute Vintage and Fret-King guitars) - unfortunately it's not open to the public though, sorry!

  • Great playing!! are those single coils noiseless?

  • Wow, that would be great thanks. Im in Northern Ireland.

    Thank you.

  • Hey dude.

Where are you in that shop?

    I might visit.

    Very good playing. :)

  • Cheers dude - I'm afraid it's not a shop, but the showroom at our distribution centre, and is not open to the public unfortunately. But let me know where you are based and I will point you in the direction of a suitable dealer if you like.

  • Is the only thing that's different to the regular V6 series the paint job?

Awesome playing by the way! :P

  • Yes, thats it, although this model is currently the only one with a maple fingerboard.

  • gav , on my local guitar stores website it says the V6MRWW Distressed Woodstock White has a maple neck as well as the one you are playing , do they all have maple necks now thanks , Jason

  • Hi - they all have maple necks, but this model is the only one with a maple fingerboard - all the others have indian rosewood 'boards

  • hey i seen you in the grapes to day in stafford take a look at my video called gareths story by flashgunfilms

  • Hi Gav, really nice demo, is this the same model as the V6MRWW Distressed Woodstock White? thanks

  • Thanks. Yes, apart from the fingerboard this is identical to all the V6 ICONS - at present the maple option is only available on this model.

  • I bought a vintage v6 Icon after watching your video ( I also tested this guitar in a store) . It sounds very good . thank you

  • thanks dude - happy shredding!
