@saidait69 I've been listening to Muhammad Saddiq Al Minshawi, and I bet this recitation is not by Muhammad Saddiq Al Minshawi but it seems it is by Shaikh Abdul Basit. No doubt it is beautiful.
@elegy4fetus thats impossible because abdul basets style is totally different. minshawi does very tight maqamat in his recitation. in other words he radically changes his maqamat. abdul basit does it differently.
Sıddıq minshawi is the father of both muhammad and mahmoud
Muhammad siddiq is the older brother (who recite in this video) and his little brother is mahmoud minshawi, muhammad died in 1969, but mahmoud lives today ;) ...

lets not forget that there was a time where it was very hard times back then in eygpt, just keeping th beard brothers wear sentenced so please just listen to the quran
Should we follow Islam or of the way of those who are ignorant and act or those who know and do not act? If the messenger of Allah calls you to something should you follow that or what sounds good? So you not give dawah to the muslims because they dont know? Or should we be of those turned into monkeys because they saw the people sin and said nothing? This is a call to sin. Pull up Surah al -Asr..... except to those who call one another to good
My point is that these brothers(sisters) aren't listening to the Quran but making a discussion about the beard > do that in a Masjid or ask your imam > these brothers are criticising Muhammad Siddiq Minshawi ,Abdulbasit Abdusamad etc etc.
why criticising these beloved qari's who gave their life to Allah and the Quran.
Look to yourself and follow the Sunnah and Quran as you know it's the way of Islam. But judiging these qari's is out of place.
I agree they shouldnt condemn but for a different reason. Who knows that Abdul-Basit could even grow a beard?!?! There is even a mention of a companion in a hadith that only grew one hair from his chin. ( he didnt have the ability) so unless you KNOW they are/were shaving AND they knew that it was wajib and continued anyway, then you have no case.

MashaALLAH, ALLAH SUBHANATALA gifted him such a melodious voice and just listen his recitation changing up and down, in my opinion after KAMIL yusuf bahtini MINSHAWI had full control in this regard.
But when we are listening to these quraa' then no one should be judgmental of there appearence, remember, the fact that they recited or recite the quran so beautifully that it touches our hearts is a blessing from allah. sheikh siddiq Minshawi in my humble opinion was the humblest of reciters, hence alot of people feel the difference listening to his recital than anyone elses.
It is true that when you are listening to these quraa' then you should focus on the quran being prayed and the method with which it is being recited, But it is also true that when a person adheres to each and every sunnat of our beloved rasool(s.a.w)then there is a big difference in their iman and of that person who does not adhere to all the beautiful sunnats. TBC
i am egyptian. Firstly where did u get that information from? theres no such law. the qari's chose not to have a beard. Brother since when is a beard a direct reflection of your iman.
Many people falsly believe that Imaan is just in the heart. Rather imaan is in the heart, on the tounge and on the limbs. If you look at the prayer, it encompasses all the aspects of imaan. It begins with the intention (heart), then the words in the prayer (tongue) and the ruku, sajood, etc (limbs). If a person does not grow his beard, it may be because the proof has not been established upon his that it is waajib or it may be weakness of imaan.
ur meaning to tell me that al qari al shiekh minshawi has a weakness in iman. come on brother its all got to do with wats sunna and wats fard. a beard is not fard.
salam u alaikum. I'm not going to talk about what the brother said, but I'd like to bring this to everyone's attention: Egypt's political climate is not that of the U.S. or the indian subcontinent. Al azhar is controlled directly by the government, and the difference between having a beard and not having a beard is often the difference between being restricted in movements (like da'wah, and teaching) and less so. having a beard in egypt is asking for trouble. this is a duruurah
No I didn't say anything of the sort. Please re-read my response earlier. I was refering to how some people wrongly proclaim Imaan is just in the heart.
dakersh- Brother, we can not say that just because the beard is sunnat it is not necessary as it undermines our beloved nab(s.a.w) teachings. Everyone to their own and as achcraft says Allah is truly the final and ONLY judge. No one of us can say how or where another persons connection with allah is. And to all bro's hear listening to the great Sheikh minshawi's Quran, Listen and appreciate it in its true essence as it really is beautiful. STOP BEING JUDGEMENTAL,
continued- Anyone blessed with such a voice has to have had some good connection with allah. And if you actually hear stories about Sheikh minshawi you will realise he is not just someone with a pretty voice- mashallah, He was a great man. and allah knows best
Because the gov't won't let them...they'd get into trouble. So, most of them opted for not wearing beards so that at least they could get the quranic message out there. If they had beards they would have been harassed and stopped from reciting by the gov't.
u r absolutely right , ALLAH wont ask at the day of judgement how much bigger was ur beard but how much effort we put to make ALLAH name bigger !HUMAYUN HUSSAIN TAQI;
yea jazakALLAH , but growing beard is not the only sunnah , nor in qabr munkar nakir will ask how much bigger is your beard , secondly ,why we dont implement OTHER sunnahas of breaking " two teeths ", or taking stones at taif or implementing ALLAHS orders in all aspects of our life.may ALLAH give us all the correct and complete understanding towards islam. ameen
I'm sorry but growing the beard is WAAJIB. The Prophet sallallahu alaihi was salam commanded the believers to grow the beards and trim the mouctaches.
having a beard is not considered as obligatory for majority of muslims, it is recommended. i've heard from someone that they chose not to have any for not being judged as someone high, because people intent to judge someone depending on the beard. Jazakoumoullahou khair, hope this answers
sunnah states specifically about the beard, whether a man seeks more rewards by differing from this is a bidah. Due to it being a newly invented matter of worshipping allah.
As Muslims, we have to bring proof from the Quran & Sunnah otherwise we should not say anything. I quote the hadeeth from Ibn Umar, who said, The Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) said, Differ from the mushrikeen (polytheists), save the beards and trim the moustaches. And in another narration, Sharply trim the moustaches and leave the beards.

this recitation isnt called tajweed!
tajweed is pronouncing each letter properly, it is a set of rules..
and he is a qari....
and he would still read with tajweed in a studio because it is wrong to recite the quran without the tajweed
