Every time I hear this song, I tear up. This was one of the songs my husband had for a video montage of his son at his memorial. After an uphill battle, his mom won custody. Every other weekend we would pick his son up for our weekend from his mother's house. That was our Highway 20 Ride. At age 15, he took his own life. We'll never know what happened. All we know is that we tried...and that my husband's "whole world, begins and ends with him". I think Fathers should have more rights.

I'm not saying you're right or wrong but i read an interview in Country Weekly with the songwriters of this song & one of them said they wrote it from the father's point of view in the song, having to leave their kid every other weekend. When Zac got the song, he related to it from the child's point of view, having gone through a divorce when he was young

Are you freaking kidding me? This song is sooooo me! This hits home! Im going through a divorce and we have beautiful five-yr old twin girls. I travel a lot with my job and I pulled into a truck stop in southern Oklahoma to get some rest. I turned on the radio and apparently there is nothing but country music in that neck of the woods and this song came on. I bawled like a baby.
