  • Gustav Stickley was a great man. The World would have not been the same without him. His work touches my life every day........He designed my house.

May God bless him.........and shine a light on his memory.

  • I have wondered had he tried his style in other species, not just exclusively Oak. Would things been different? Better or worse? Either way exposed joinery is a signature in fine woodworking, and he excelled at it.

  • What a great concise video about G. Stickley. I'm am currently building a Craftsman house (sadly with limited budget) but have always loved the Arts and Crafts style, got it from growning up in Grand Rapids. My most prized possession is what I think is a Stickley rocking chair. Thanks for the Vid!

  • Very informative video. I live in art and craft house and didn't know what it meant. Now I don't like a moron anymore!

  • I wonder if im related? i thought i was the only stickley

  • Gustav had four brothers and had three daughters and one son with Ada, that mainly stayed in New York State in Syracuse, and Skaneateles, New York. Look at David Cathers book Gustav Stickley. Also do a search for of relatives of Gustav.
