  • Thank you Mother Clare!

  • yes we pre date many religins meening we were around before jesus so how can we fallow something that we dident know about that wasent around and a nother thing if you cristians wanna fallow jesus why arent you all jews?

  • Thanks for sharing your wonderful answer!

  • You are most welcome.

  • I love how you explained it. I guess I am what would be called a Christian Mystic or Esoteric Christian. I am not sure the correct term.

I see a mother aspect of God but I am not sure what she is. Is she sophia , is she mary, is she the holy spirit. Or is she seperate (but equal) to the traditional christian trinity.

  • The Creator is both female and male, and also neither. So one can say it is Mother/Father God. Mother Mary was a full incarnation of the divine feminine aspect, she took it on completely, so she could be called Mary Sophia, just as Jesus is called Jesus Christ, for taking on the masculine aspect of God fully. Every aspect of the trinity holds both the feminine and masculine energies: Father/Mother God, Mary Sophia and Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit, which has both.

  • nice video im starting to read about this

  • I am glad you enjoyed it.

  • We can be both male or female but I think we develop a preference most of the time. My soul is too rebellious and aggressive. Every life I have recalled has been male, though I'm sure every one of us has tried the opposite sex here and there.

  • @motherclarewatts

Why do you worship Mary? She was just the humble vessel chosen by God to bear Jesus Christ. Throughout scripture, there hasn't been one account to which we saw her become "Divine." She dealt with the flesh as any other human being, had a beginning and end just like any of us. She didn't rise from the dead just as Jesus. She was just the proclaimer of the Risen Lord. Jesus Christ be glorified, and I pray you find confirmation from God about this.

  • I suggest that you ask Jesus (assuming you talk to Him and receive answers from Him) whether He would like you to relate to His mother. Then you will find out what is true, not by holding theological values that are not borne out by your own seeking withing God.

  • I talk to him on a daily basis, too yes, my friend. Scripture clearly doesn't state how she became "divine" in any way. You still didn't answer my question. I don't see any harm in that. Just please, show me scripture. I am very interested in mysticism, and have studied into it. I do not claim to be of any "denomination" or religion, I follow strictly Jesus Christ. It just brings me an unsteadiness in my spirit when others claim to worship the virgin Mary, a mere human like any one of us.

  • But did you ask Jesus whether He wants you to relate to His mother? Does He not hold authority above the words that were written about Him?

  • @ritchiedotson

What you call the "mother aspect" of God, is simply just an attribute of God. There is neither female or male, it's God's character. We cannot place a gender aspect on God, because God created male and female. The pure attributes that females bear, when in consistent communion with God, are merely a reflection of who He is. Just as well as the male reflects other attributes of God. We cannot confuse this.

  • The interviewer asks the lady , 'What is mysticism?' and she Doesn't answer but fly's of at a tangent. Bad start. A good definition of mysticism from a Christian perspective is 'An exploration of the Mytery of Christ'.

Someone who can't answer a direct basic question like this but sidesteps makes mevery, very nervous.

  • I strongly disagree. I don't know much about mysticism yet, and I'm only 15, but I do know that this person DOES know what she's talking about, and that when you ask people questions that know about things and have everything already connected in their mind since they know almost everything about it, they explain it from a different point of view. One that would eventually make sense to me and you if we were to know about it.

  • Many of the aspects of mystical experiences are a constant part of everyday experience by persons with certain brain dysfunctions; persons who have epileptic foci in the temporal lobes of their brains often have hallucinations that have a mystical component to them. When the foci are destroyed surgically, the siezures and the mystical experiences associated with them, go away.

  • what you say is true, but they are not the mystical experience what Clare is talking about. She is not talking about some vivid sensory experience which is often counted as a religious experience. It is something that takes time to evolve an grow. It is longer lasting and can be liken to a dim warm glow and an some very intense bright experience.
