I brought a classical four CD. This is the only track that i liked. Looking at the ratings, this clearly shows that i’ve got a keen ear for music! lol
We need to stop criticizing the younger generation for not knowing "real music", for being deaf to true art. It is everybody else´s fault. What choice are they given? How many classical music radio stations do you know? How many times a year an orchestra goes to your town? How many classical/art TV channels do you know? Kids don´t listen to classical music because the only contact they´ve ever had with it was through old Disney movies, they prefer Lady Gaga because that is all they really know
I am 14 and I love Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and most of the major pop artists. However, I equally love classical music, such as this piece. I guess the stereotype of people my age disliking classical music is partially true, because most of them do. I think that if more people were given the chance to enjoy this type of music, they would, but its not 'cool', and not particularly easy to get into if you are used to pop and rock, etc. I play clarinet and piano, and am learning this song on the piano.
@kpjp302 It's wonderful to hear a appreciation for all styles of music. Well done to you for being open minded and not caving into the peer pressure of being 'cool'. You will reap the benefits later on when you can perform any piece of music from any era. Who will be the 'cool' one then?
i feel mostly upset that the top comments are only relevant to the people who disliked it. here i am, for some reason tears springing to my eyes, wondering if this same experience is shared with the 3,000 others who liked it. wow.
@Narsiej ayo fuc you narsiej you racist fuck.. black niggaz enjoy this music bitch. and dont suck to much asshole . even thow u dont get paid for it you fuck...... holla
I've heard Fauré described as a perfect gentleman, and this music attests to that. It is very polite to the listener, and takes them into relaxation without demanding anything.
I think what some people fail to see in this peace is the beauty of simplicity. It's a couple of bars repeated over and over.. The only vary seen is in instraments.. However I love this piece. It doesn't have to be fancy or complex to be good. This, is simplicity in it's finest form.
I feel as if the nature sways with this music, and the whole world is at peace. For as long as there is music like this, I feel peace and love can always be found.
I can't stand impressionism, personally. It's degenerated art, before it took weeks, months, and in some cases years to create beautiful masterpieces that truly required talent, and impressionism led to "modern' art which is just slopped together by any random moron with a name, which can be recreated in five minutes. I do, however, love this song.
Peaceful, but strong, golden orange red coloured music.... I so love this one...Great for love making ; )
In fact, I know that I am still living in Paris, at the end of 19th Century... oh, yes... And I love impressionism : ) and Monet... I just have no words to explain... so I will just let myself FEEL.
This ain't got shit on the Xzibit version. Perhaps this Faure dude (whoever he is) should go back to school and learn something about music production, instead of just going round ripping off the West Coast's finest.
@69crafty I'm being serious. Maybe it's unfair of me to single out this artist as there are plenty of other guilty parties, but I'm frustrated by how little effort is put into modern day hip-hop. I mean, this guy's not even bothered to hire a lowrider and some hookers to make a proper video, but instead has just stuck up some drawings from some German dude. I'm actually quite surprised that someone with the integrity of Xzibit, a true musical pioneer, would allow his work to be used like this.
@Rymeroz I hate being this smart ass, but every type of music is real music, if you like it or not is personal preference, so don't bash on other types of music because you don't like them. You're still entitled to opinion though.
@Rymeroz Perhaps not. Perhaps they dislike the interpretation or the recording balance. Maybe they really are deaf, so they hear something different from what you hear. For example, there are stories of old conductors who hear timbres differently because of hearing loss, and thus make unreasonable requests from their orchestras.
This is too beautiful. It amazes me how a human could even conceive such a thing. If someone had told me "I will find you something man-made that can rival a sunset or snow falling etc" I would not have believed them. Yet, here I am, believing it
@fantasticjack87 It seems to me we should be celebrating nature for producing such an animal, rather than the animal for using the talents with which it was endowed by nature. In any case, the human is only another facet of nature, and from that it follows its accomplishments are ultimately nature's.
This reminds me of horses. Of sleeping in a beautiful field over night and waking up in the mid summer, with the glorious haze of the pollen on the air. and the horses trotting about and around each other in a heard, the most natural state and my most perfect dream. I could watch horses in the wild for years and year and never miss once what I have here in my flat in London. Ah music thankyou for the visions and the dreams X
Just want to say, this song keeps me in a peaceful mood, it's really wonderful and beautiful!! This melody is what I really really love!! Feel comfortable, quiet and romantic.... I love the song of the beginning, I love the strings' pizz sounds most in this song, they are absolutely beautiful!! And then flute comes out, combine the other sound into a most perfect song!! Bravo!!

Immensely beloved Impressionism founder Claude Monet...unforgettable paintings, amongst them the water lilies & the lady in white apparel with parasol & the beautiful child walking next to her!
This music reminds me of a dream I had once. I was in a cave, and when I walked out I came out into a fresh spring morning on a meadow filled with sweet-smelling flower bushes. The grass and flowers were dewy and the sun was just rising. It was nature at its most perfect, and this song fits perfectly.
