  • Your son has talent and good timing. God Bless him.

  • @SpidermanPlaysTama Thanks man! You should see him now after almost 3 years. He's a beast of a kid. lol. He's about as good as me even though that doesn't take much.

  • Hello sir! lol.

I don't know if you ever tried this before I'm sure you've heard it but if you havent you can learn it along with ur son!

try this quick fill that sounds awesome!

It has to be fast also.

    Bass drum, Floor Tom, Snare.

    So Kick, Right, Left.

and your hands should almost be a flam ur snare is slightly delayed.

If you don't know what I mean I can send you a video I have of another guy playing one of his bands songs and I could send you the url in a message!!

  • do you know any beets p.s cheek out me

  • @supernatalierose sure. I know lots

  • plz watch my vid of me playing drums!

  • Cool.......!!!

  • Geat teachinbg him.You are blessed

  • what drum kit is this?

  • club

  • lool funny

im 14 and hes pretty much better than me

  • lol. nah, i'm sure you're much better, but he is getting better by the day

  • those toms sound really nice

  • thanx. amazingly enough, it's a $150 kit, w/ hydraulic heads. lol. go figure, but they sound really beefy

  • yay how cool

i taught a 7 year old boy and after 10 lessons he couldn´t play in the beat (not my fault :))

    sry for my bad english^^

  • lol. i totally understand you..you should see how he's doing now..go to my channel page and look uner 'my son's drumming diary' and check out his talent show competition for 'my savior my God'

  • i already did.

    just great!

  • well, i appreciate you not blasting....now, go to my channel page, look under my son's drumming diary and look at the talent show vid for 'my savior my God' and see how far he's come in 7 mos.

  • WOw,,nice work,,He's cute and awesome...more work to GOD..GOD BLESS..

  • cool thanx bro

  • Nice! I have a 7 year old brother, who also is a drummer (I have a video with him on my channel - a Blitzkrieg Bop cover, it would be great if you could tell me what you think). I know how hard it was for him to learn the basic beats, so it is really great how your son plays after 4 lessons. Anyway, my brother now learns really fast and he can play pretty complicated beats, but still, I have no idea how to teach him all those fills. He is not as good at fills as your son lol

  • thanx man. i checked out the vid and your bro is doing great. tell him to hang in there and don't give up

  • ok thanks!

  • Awesome man, very inspiring. Keep it up lan the Man.

  • thanx man, gotta get a new vid up. he's learned so much since this one

  • i was kidding but it would be neat

  • wow hes really good thats awsome. I wish that I started that young.

  • and he's getting better by the day. he'll be better than me in a year

  • awesome tell him to keep it up=)

  • will do! thanx

  • like u...he's definately got a God Given talent :D

  • he definately has a great ear and i def. thank God for that

  • Wow thats awesome!

  • thanx bro

  • Awesome lil dude!

  • thanx!

  • Im a beginner drummer to so should i practice these beats? At this rate ur son look like hes gonna be a good drummer cause he super young!

  • yes, i would practice variations of the 4/4 time. try placing your kick in different spots. count 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 &, play the snare on 2 and 4 and the kick on 1 and 3 typically. move the kick to the 1 & and then & 3 &

  • thanks. How do u like the song run by hillsong?

  • haven't checked it out yet. i don't have it in my collection.i will try to find it today on rhapsody

  • Don't pay attention to the negatives man. It's always great to see a young child learning an instrument. I'm working on teaching my nephews how to play (Guitar and Bass) Never let em' give up. I, too hope he grows up to play for God like his dad. God Bless you and your family.

  • nah bro,it's all good. lol. not gonna give up b/c i see so much potential in him. i appreciate your encouragement, alot. i hope all goes well with you nephews. that takes patience. God bless you my friend!

  • wtf dont get mad at me but wow that wasnt good at all its a simple beat and he cant evan stay on it! i know what you gonna say..."dude he has only had 4 lessons" or "dude he is good for his age and amount of experience" but no he is not this was a waste of youtube space

  • first off i don't appreciate you implying the 'f' word concerning my son. secondly, nah dude, not gonna get mad. you're an immature 14 yr. old who doesn't have any vids of himself playing drums for us to critique. speaking of youtube waste space, i personally believe your whole page is a waste of space. maybe if your page glorified God then it would be another story. maybe if your heart was right you could see something positive in this vid or offer encouragement. not bashing, just stating facts

  • lol he loses beat alot...

  • yeah, that's bound to happen w/ only 4 lessons. lol. plus the cam didn't help by making him nervous. thought he did an excellent job, despite those things

  • yeah I understand he will be amazing when he gets older

  • oh Lord, let's hope so

  • He does have some skills soon you need to get him on a double pedal and work on some blast beats

  • yeah, then he would be better than me

  • we don't want the kid getting confused, you wouldn't want him to start on a double peddle after only 4 lessons, i'd wait maybe a couple years when he has the single bass down, but man i couldn't do that for prolly the first couple weeks of playing drums he'll definitely get good

  • oh no, he's def. not ready for double. although his feet are getting pretty fast on a single, may not need a double. lol

  • Aww ^^

  • I have encountered many people around the age of 14 that find what he has just done the hardest thing ever! Whatever you do, make sure he keeps playing!

  • he has amazed me too! he had a lesson yesterday and surprised his teacher. he didn't get to practice much this past week either, but we sat down and practiced for about 45 min.last night as we usually try to do most nights. i usually give him wed. and sun. off to not get him burned out

  • Well, he is going to be a fine drummer when he is older!

  • yeah man ive got my whole drumline with like 3 exceptions that cant do anything like that and theyre 13 and 14 so props to him

  • sweet!

  • wow!

  • Little Lan Man got a steady beat. He's a natural....

  • yeah, he actually has a good sense of timing

  • LOL, that was EPIC! Reminds me of when I started playing...the memories! I can't too see how he progresses!

  • lan da man's gonna be a chip off the old block someday, eh? yeah huh, one can just see the God-given talent waiting to be nurtured. a young gun for Christ!

  • yeah, i pray i don't get in the way and teach him any bad habits. lol

  • oh great!!! just like his dad, particularly in the end ;) lol. Landon: Keep up this wonderful work!!! My church is waiting for you ;) and Stan: keep up being such a great dad!!!

    god bless you two!

  • your church is waiting?! man, i gotta have somebody to play drums so i can play guitar. haha. thanx bro

  • EXCELLENT! Exclellent beginner... he has some hesitation at some, but still he is the best 7 yo. drummer around and maybe to be known! Maybe he could once be as GREAT as you!

We have God alone to count on that, but I alone know that he will be AWESOME! and start his own christian band!

GOOD LUCK TO BOTH OF YOU!!

    ~God Bless,

    David

  • hey David, thanx for those kind words. yeah, i was kinda not understanding his hesitation(i think it was the cam. rolling) and he also missed some double kicks on this vid that he usually does well. i think it was nerves, but yeah, can't wait to look back and see how far God has brought him

  • nice timing. he's going to be great some day

  • yeah, he does have a pretty good sense of timing, oddly enough. hope that's a good sign of great things to come

  • just like his dad lol... well done landon, keep rocking for the Rock.....

    God bless

  • hey! r u trying to say i play like a 7 yr. old?! lol. i'm kidding, thanx bro

  • lol.... keep me posted on how he is progressing...

looks like we all have some competition there lol :-P God bless u and urs...

  • Awesome Landon..keep at it! but remember who you are playing for alrite? God Bless you as you continue to play and practice =]

  • u r so rite about that. gotta keep things in perspective

  • wow not bad for 4 lessons!!! I remember those says when I first started playing lol!! Tell him I say keep up the good work!!!!

  • thanx, he's getting there. i've got great aspirations for him for being this decent after only a few lessons.

  • just wonderful

he's own his way for sure !!!

  • thanx, i look forward to playing beside him in church one day

  • A star is born!!!In the future,I can say,"I knew you when..."!!! Love 'n Kisses!

  • Amen to that. can't wait to look back and see how far he's come

  • He totally rocks!!

  • i'll be sure and tell him. thanx bro

  • awesome!! God bless =D

  • thanx and good to hear from you. God bless ya

  • ha ha ha!!!!! Awesome to see a young one rock it out on the best instrument EVER!!!! Can't wait to see more!!! Good luck!!!

    GOD BLESS

  • yeah man! thanx. he's doing good, IMHO, for 4 lessons. can't wait to see him in a year
