the frying pan's reach and the fact that it takes two hits on horde zombies make it the worst weapon when it comes down to the best job that a melee weapon has, clearing a path for yourself. Weapons such as the Katana and Guitar are much more reliable in this sense since one can plow through a mass of funneled zombies and not get slowed down. The Axe and Machete can easily replace these two weapons if they are not available, but lack the extra reach of these two titanic melee weapons.

(Just elongating my character length) The only zombie worth dealing with by this melee method is crowning a witch, since when it comes to special zombies, you want to deal with them at a distance instead of fighting your way to them (ex: saving your friend who is caught in the zombie's grasp).

it looks like with the axe you can keep swinging so I'm sure it wont be hard to swing a lot with the frying pan, but if they just let you spam swings then they might as well get rid of the melee timer too. They made the deley on purpose. Don't worry dude Valve isn't stupid

This game needs better physics, especially for things like this...

When you hit them with the pan, it just goes right through the zombies and a barely noticeable spurt of blood comes out while they just "slowly sink" to the floor - That can't be right! If you hit a zombie with the power of a freaking frying pan, there should be more impact to it! You know, big spurt of rotting zombie blood and teeth flying out and the zombies falling backwards a pair of meters AT LEAST. Now THAT would be fun.

If you've noticed, The impact with he frying pan is VERY great.. Theres no 'Little' spurt of blood I've seen from it on a hit.. You should check out other GP(Game play) videos, They go flying back with a shit load of blood XD. Should check it out ^_^
