one of the very best Garcia Grisman songs, and a great recording of it. I saw nearly every show they played together (in this era anyway), I was just a kid in highschool, but I was plastered to the rail (or as as close as I could get) every time these guys took the stage. I still dream about these shows.

This is heavy. Sounds like Jerry is playing a 12 string. Not that I've ever known him to play one, but totally sounds like he is playing one here. I done all I can do, all I can say.

One of my alltime fav songs -- and this version is very haunting and steeped in the sadness that the song was written from. The analogy can be used for any scenario when a loved one leaves and uncertainity is all that is known.
