What is the kind of lighting ur using... It's pretty amazing how the light is able ro seep thru to the bottom layer... Mine's a 10 gallon recently planted... Suggestions pleaseeee..!!
In this tank I have 20 small 1-1.5" SAE and like 30-40 ghost shrimps. You probably could get away with halve that. Shrimps are cheap so put a lot of them in there.
Siamese Algae eaters (Crossocheilus siamensis) not to be mixed up with the Flying Fox which look like the same fish but there not. Flying Foxes have a goldish stripe above the black stripe
the siamese algae eaters are one of the best algae eaters for a planted tank. there pretty easy to care for. the flying foxes are a litle more aggressive but easy to keep.
what you mean clean? I don't do any gravel vac if that what you mean. You don't do gravel vacs in planted tanks unless you want a cloudy mess!. I just pick out all floating leafs daily and scrap the glass once every couple of weeks for GSA. 25% water change weekly.
I used Tully mesh you can buy at any fabric store. I wrapped the Tully over stainless steel mesh with green filament fishing line then suction cupped it to the tank
wow awesome tank, what do you put in your water to help your plants and make them so green? my java moss looks ugly except this 1 spot where I stuck it in the gravel
looks great!

What substrate are you using? Is it just gravel, or do you have something underneath it?

Curious but gold fish would not be able to work with plant life? or what do you think??
I think if I were to put shirmp in here they would probably try to eat them all.. :( I have two pretty big gold fishes.

@JGO749
Goldfish eat plants plus the amount of food you would need to keep them healthy would get the tank to dirty.
I wouldn't recommend Goldfish

Iron keeps them green. I do add some iron but I also have laterite mixed in bottom layer of my substrate. Lighting also helps I use 65K T5HO
