For a1300cc turbo the starlets are dam guick. Check out [glanza vs evo in cork] on youtube and you will also see it whip a highly tuned SiR. By the way a nissan Pulsar VZR N1 would whip any 1600 DOHC vtec. 200 bhp STANDARD. Fastest 1600 ever built.

Its about time ye looked into pulsar vzr ,s ,toyota levin 20 valves and mitsi colt mivic,s also. there all 1.6L about 175 bhp standard. not bad for a 1600cc straight.

I own a Punto gt and a friend owns a starlet. To be fair, mine is 184bhp proven and his is 237 bhp proven and he kicks my arse, but even so there both great little cars to own and would have them over any mini turbo charged car.

i agree starlets are great cars to start with if you want a small turbo hatch, like the renault 5 GT or the Fiesta RS Turbo *my personal favorite* i'm after a rover coupe turbo atm, about 270ps, should be good be out in a couple, great cars imo :) nice vid. my neighbour had a starlet, quick little thing, he's sold it now and got a impreza, also nice :)

i know what you mean mate.. mine gives me trouble till i get to third, what boost controller you got? im investing in a turbo smart electronic bosst controller.. bit expensive but you should get one too mate as it has switchable boost so you can run 1 bar in first and second gear then it will unleash full boost in third onwards so minimal wheel spin the whole way, you can set it to run different boost levels for different gears.
