Its your choice of course but the 1st mistake most make is going with to big of a bike. Really depends on the experience. If your experience is dirt bikes then you're better off on a smaller bike for sure. Totally different onna street bike. Also VERY good idea to take the MSF course first.
Oh, i forgot to mention that my bike has a Yoshi pipe on it so thats why it sounds like it does. Not stock.

You should really rethink that helmet. Not a good idea at all to ride with a helmet that's not DOT rated. The two helmets ive had have both been DOT and SNELL.
Dude, I totally feel your pain on the tire issue. I had a set of Bridgestone BT-020's when I had my F2, and other than the Metzler sportec M1's, they were my favorite tires - mileage AND grip all in one package.
My current bike has Pirelli Dragon Supercorsas. Rear tire is 190/55... a new one will run me $241. I guess that's part of what they call the "Ducati Tax", LOL

Looks hopeful that ill have tires tomarrow. Found a dealer with 36% off some Dunlop street smarts :) I wanted a tire like that with the dual compound so i could get some more miles for some trips this year ill be taking. If this weather ever clrs that is! :/

Their reputation is what finally made my decision. I ha gone in to check out some other tires that i had heard about but those were to flat on the corner. Didnt look like it would handle good at all but i had mentioned to the parts guy that i was looking for a tire that would still give good handling but more mileage than a regular sportbike tire like the Qualifiers. So he showed me these Street Smarts. The outsides are soft 4 handling while the center is harder for mileage. (:

I got pulled over with my camera in my helmet... but he told me not to put it on the internet because of some law or something... he said it was smart to have a camera for extra insurance... but didnt recommend it because of the blind spot that it creates.

I actually did take the baffle out today when I rode around town for a while. It sounded awesome racing the engine and everything, but it just sounded obnoxiously loud when I was going at slow speeds through parking lots and outdoor malls. Felt like I was causing a disturbance with EVERYONE looking over at me. And your old helmet, you should probably throw it away...it can only do it's job after one drop. :-P
Thats interesting. Mine doesnt seem that obnoxious altho i did have a friend tell me he could hear me going thro town loud and clear once. :D People should be lookin at ya tho Toasty cuz your bikes 5*! (:
I keep the old helmet for decoration & in case someone else might need it. Its prolly not good anymore but it was getting loser for some reason before it fell too. Dunno why. *shrugs*
Haaa! I'm not the only one that looses focus. The motorcycle vlogger has a certain brain waves that somehow get transmitted. I think if you get too excited about it...the transmission output is stronger.

I've ridden a Harley a few times. I already did take the MSF. I even have my motorcycles license.
and most 600's sound the same. Yours is just a bit louder because of the Yoshi pipe.
