  • Side note.. O State Ballaz is on itunes for any Beaver fans!

  • I was at this game.. posey was on the ground for like 5 minutes

  • @MrCabezud this isnt at the giants game u fucking retard, lie some fucking more

  • @drahyrTginzamA oh my bad, it looks exactly like what happened at the giants game, p.s. you dont gotta be such a douche.

  • @MrCabezud cry about it pussy

  • pitch up the head to that fool next at-bat if he did that to my catcher...damn right !

  • He touched the corner of third if thats what ur talking about if u r talking about home hes safe cuzz the catcher dropped the ball and everthough he missed home he went back and the catcher clearly dosesnt have the ball.

  • @ALECKS511 yes he is. When a collision happens, you either keep the ball in your hands and get him out, or drop the ball and let him score

  • was he safe

  • Runner vs Catcher...

  • Home plate isn't considered a "base" per say. He didn't touch third, I think that is what they were talking about when they said that he didn't touch the bag.

  • Damn, look at the cathcer's leg when he bends back...

That's how a Buster Posey gets injured.

  • if yoour gunna try someones life touch the bag atleast..

  • Idiot its runner vs catcher

  • @TheTECHIEhelper Ever think that maybe the runner is also a catcher? guess you didn't...but uhh yeah it also says that the runner was a catcher in the description....

I'm pretty sure everyone that saw the title "Catcher Vs catcher collision" didn't think two geared up catchers were going to collide. It was just a way for him to say the runner was a catcher that took out the other catcher at home plate. Some people like you just have to be assholes on youtube i guess.

  • catcheers fault dont get on two knees! thats asking for trouble!

  • xD He had to run back t the plate :3

  • If the umpire had a better view he would have been ejected. He lowered his shoulder to intentionally truck the catcher.

  • been there, granted it was highschool play. You take the throw on a relativley close play and your first reaction is to get the tag down. Catcher typically has a window of about a second to read intention in the runner's eyes and re-set his feet for a collision. . . . this kid obviously didn't do that... or hang onto the ball

  • This video would be pretty cool if it had sound

(oh and btw I am a catcher too. It is NOT fun when the runner decides to attack you)

  • Sorry for the stupid question, but i have been wondering about this for a long time: Why doesn't the catcher simply step on homeplate to make the play? Does he have to tag the runner out or doesn't he have the time to return to home?

  • @keup257 Well, since it wasn't a force out(that's when there would've been a guy on 3rd), yes. the catcher has to physically tag him on those- like when you sometimes see those awkward chase scenes where the runner's stranded.

  • @saintswhodat23 Thanks.

  • @quagmire704 same thing happened to my brother... What city are u from???

  • At one of my little league Junior games, the ball popped up just out of the foul line on the firstbase path (just in front of the Visitos dugout), and the catcher and first baseman both sprinted to get to it, only lookin up. the smacked into each other, the catcher was knocked unconsious, and the first baseman got a gash in his leg from a cleat from the catcher.. it was crazy!

  • why is everybody shitting their pants about not touching the plate? after he ran over the catcher, we went back to touch it... fucking idiots

  • 0:11 catchers lagging

  • anyone notice he didnt touch the base??

  • @Golddog15 he came back and touched it, you moron.

  • @Golddog15 He did afterwards, watch the video idiot.

  • @littlemonty94 fuck tard i meant during the collision usually in the mlb when that happeneds they still touch it

  • @Golddog15 Yeah I'm sure thats what you meant, you dumb faggot. You just pulled that out of your ass.

  • @Golddog15 yes he did....at the end of the video......

  • @Golddog15

not at first. i didnt think he did but at the very end you see him get up quick and step on the plate

  • @tombeals69 yes i saw that lol thanks i was just saying he missed it at first

  • @Golddog15 ... video doesnt end after the slow-mo replay...

  • @Golddog15 he did at the end..........

  • @Golddog15 He got up and tagged it

  • @Golddog15 he went back and touched the base

  • @Golddog15 did you watch the part 2 seconds after where he did??

  • @Golddog15 you dont have to step on top of the base to touch it you idiot

  • @Golddog15 He did at the end of the vid.

  • @Golddog15 he touched it after though

  • @Golddog15 um he went back and touched home plate. and im not trolling when i say home is not a base, its a plate lol. there is first second and third base but no fourth base, just home plate =p

  • @Golddog15 He came back around to step on hit.

  • why is the catcher on his knees anyway, looks like he was trying to give a bj

  • @bigBn20102010 that and the runner didnt even touch the plate

  • SAFE! haha he fucked that guy up @ the plate

  • buster posey'd

  • I hope the runner got tossed, and hopefully suspended!

  • @MrLaBlank It's part of baseball. He shouldn't get tossed.

  • @GeneralofCarthage the only country that still allows this is USA and even at that they are trying to change that. in 2001 3 people died in canada due to plays like that. I have umpired for 8 years, this is the biggest no, no you can do on a baseball field, all the way from 5 year olds, up to mens baseball, and around here carries a lengthy suspension, this has no place in baseball.

  • @MrLaBlank No you can't do it in little league because I played in it. They are not going to trying to change the rule in the USA. It's not a no no. If you take away this. You take away a big part of baseball and ruin the game

  • @GeneralofCarthage well the international federation does not allow this play at all age levels, and in canada we go by that.

  • @MrLaBlank Scardey cats

  • Wow, nice hit.

  • fake. no sound.

  • dude what is wrong with you, you had the perfect chance to flip over the catcher.

  • @maxter1124 yeah he did at the end of it

  • ive got something to say that catcher for the storm is an asshole because he knows its tough back their so why do it thats called no respect

  • @maxter1124 Yes he did, after he ran over the catcher. Watch the whole video.

  • Leading with your shoulder is automatic ejection.

  • PWND

  • this happened to me at second and the guy got tossed

  • Catcher who was running saw the opportunity of the fielding catcher putting himself in a poor position to deal with the contact at the plate. ( Never EVER block the plate while on both knees...)

  • lol kid never touched home

  • I've played there.

  • safeeeeeee lol

  • That collision looked like buster posey's

  • talk about getting ur ass laid out

  • He missed the plate. lol

  • He was on his knees because he was blocking the throw form going behind him, like a catcher should do. If its a shitty throw, your responsibility goes from getting the guy out, to keeping it in front of you to make sure runners dont advance. If you look closely the ball was never even in his mit. The throw probably came in from left field and it did beat the runner there by a significant amount so I'm not sure why the catcher didn't have the ball to tag him out, but none the less, he did his job

  • how the fuck can u slide when there is a fat ass on his knees bllocking your only path to the plate there is nothing else u can do

  • Hahaha. This tweedon loser is retarded. But only because there is much more contact in soccer than baseball. Dumbass.

  • What a bitch catcher why is he on his knees?

  • buster posey remake i think so

  • pause at 0:14 HeadStand

  • Hes out he never touched the plate! What was the true ruling?

  • @MirkwoodRoyalArcher maybe he got up and touched the plate you can do that!

  • @123warmaster I would have had to be there to determine the real ruling but in my opinion he never touched the bag hes out... =(

  • @MirkwoodRoyalArcher he touched it on the way out

  • @fireball3295 I just think they should change that rule... It's painful when a guy runs at you at full speed and collides into you. It's dangerous... But I guess that's why I am a catcher! =)

  • @MirkwoodRoyalArcher it is a rule...ifthe guy does it intentionally it is called Malicious Contact and he would be ruled out... but i dont think they use that rule in MLB or the High Leagues....

  • he didnt touch the plate

  • The guy who ran over the catcher went to my highschool lol :)

  • Collision like this is illegal for a reason. To protect the catcher. Its only legal in Major League Baseball and only in certain cituations. The guy who did this is an asshole and should be thown out.

  • @minimumicee lmao the game of baseball obviously you dont know how its played?

  • @minimumicee This is not illegal at all. And it is not only legal in the big leagues, but also minor league baseball and independent pro ball as well. You must be a Giants fan still mourning the loss of Buster Posey and think the rule should be changed because your golden boy had a season ender. You seem like the kind of person that would sign your kid up for 5-a-side soccer because football is too rough. If you don't like contact watch golf or soccer. Or maybe cricket or tennis...Billiards...

  • Regardless of whether or not he was safe, this is the only part of the game that is contact. If this is allowed then during the 7th inning stretch they should all fight MMA-style.

Slide to avoid, this is just stupid. If they want to body-check, play hockey. If they want to slide tackle, play soccer. If they want to knock the shit out of someone, play American football.

  • @milpoolXXX well exept that it is part of baseball, and is in the game, contact is allowed at home plate. so dont whine about it accept it, if you dont want to get hit dont stand infront of the base. simple as that..

  • @robdmhaze not if the lead shoulder or elboy makes contact with the catchers head but i do agree its part of baseball everyone needs to stop defending pussy bitches that cant hack it behind the plate, if you dont wanna get hit dont block the plate from ur knees like a cum stained whore

  • @robdmhaze this is baseball not bukkake

  • @tsharpmac420 wow good one little guy, did your mom help u with that.

  • @robdmhaze yea i didnt know how to spell it

  • @milpoolXXX

And if they want to fuck shit up... enlist in the Marine Corps.

  • He never touched the plate haha

  • he didnt even touch the plate

  • Dirty play: could have slid because there was part if the plate open and he lowered his shoulder.

  • I dont know why you would go to your knees..........

  • shoulda tried sitting on the plate

  • If any of you people knew anything about baseball you would know that catchers are taught to block the plate, this was a dirty play, the ball had him beat by atleast 5 steps, just stay at third base asshole

  • @John20E3 hey fair game dont sit down i catch never sit on my butt i crouch and tag him like a man and he is not an asshole it called baserunning he did the right thing this guy is a great ball player with two nationalchampionships

  • @John20E3 you have know idea just shut up let people play the game

  • in mlb you would have been fined

  • @ThePioneer06 why? and no he wouldnt... the catcher was in the wrong by blocking the basepath

  • one word...... BOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!

  • ohh runner lowered his shoulder which is illegal he should be out

  • you should be in front the plate, just sitting on your shins...getting trucked like that will destroy your knees and ankles in that position, better to squat in front

  • That was a clean play, he shouldn't have been in front of the plate like that to begin.

  • Maybe he could have been given some credit if he wasn't stupid and dropped the ball.

  • Cheap hit but what was even worse is his positioning. His technique could have broken his legs and gave him seriously neck problems. You're supposed to squat down and do your best to lessen the blow. This catcher was oblivious and paid the price for it big time. It's ashame that baseball has these plays because it's not football. It should never come down to anyone getting bowled over like that.

  • The catcher clearly dropped the ball, you can see it roll down the third base line. The runner is safe.

  • SAFE!!!

  • @mruck05 he's out stupid.

  • @janiet14 catcher doesnt have the ball i believe that makes him safe

  • @mruck05 Well, if you dont slide and catcher has the ball, you're out.

  • @mruck05 But if you don't slide and run in to the catcher your out.

  • @janiet14 maybe so in this leauge but in the majors though hes safe

  • @mruck05 Oh, whoops. lol. Sorry. They should make that rule in magors though.

  • @janiet14 o come on it makes the game that much more interesting lol

  • umm if ur blocking the plate in college rules and up then u can railroad the cather tho he never touched the plate

  • @ChibiCheeks101 at the end of the video he comes over and touches the plate

  • @djdavis96 Except at 8 seconds you can see the catcher tag him as he gets his ass knocked out.

  • @soccerdude654321 correct me if im wronge, but my understanding is that if u colide with the catcher, your out, unless he drops the ball, then your safe

  • @soccerdude654321 he dropped the ball

  • @soccerdude654321 but he dropped the ball

  • @ChibiCheeks101 yeah he deff. touched the plate at the end of the vid.

  • that shit worked!

  • Actually the rule is slide or avoid contact so no need to have a fit man

  • the catcher was on the baseline and the runner ran like he had a stick up his butt. double fail

  • who told him to stand flat footed and wait to get trucked...Likeeee run to him and tag him 0.o thats what u get for "waiting for the hit"

  • catche"ur mine bitch" WHACK!!!! " ahh fuck"

  • This happens in football almost every play, big fuckin deal.

  • @MrUnclebrent Yeah except you have padding all over your body in football, idiot.

  • @RedSandStudios catchers have padding, idiot xD

  • @KraZeDxShoTzz he rammed him in the face and the mask was off so that does not help and the padding is only made to protect you from the ball not someone hitting you

  • @rescuekid9a ARE U FUCKIN RETARDED THE RULES SAY U HAVE THE RIGHT TO BARREL SOMEONE IN UR WAY OF THE PLATE. LEARN HOW TO PLAY BASEBALL RETARD IM ON MY 9TH FUCKIN SEASON ALREADY

  • @SSoHxFAN the rule says if he is in the baseline or blocking the plate, which he was, then you can knock him over BUT you cant drop your shoulder into him, which he did.

  • I'm a catcher in college and thats definitely NOT the way your supposed to take a collision at the plate... the catcher was on his knees!

  • haha the catcher was like "Why is he coming at me and he looks so mad" BOOM!

  • Maybe you should leave lacrosse, the national woman's sport of i think canada alone. actually no keep going

  • @jmelnik00 Oh yeah, and you lacrosse guys get to play in those cute little shorts and all. But then, you don't need a jock strap, either, do you?

  • @jmelnik00 lol ur hilarious. You realize no one give a fuck about lacrosse right...U guys have sticks and fling a ball around. I'd rather watch soccer. Theres a reason why the only lacrosse match they show on tv is the championship, and even that only makes like ESPN the ocho

  • i hope he went back and touched the plate

  • Recked

  • The whole reason that he was on his knees (no homo) was because the ball was thrown really bad so he had to block it up like a pitch in the dirt. So he did what he was suppose to so and the reAson he didnt hold was is that reason also and he didnt have posestionbof the ball.

  • I would cream the runner

  • SAFE!!

  • He didn't touch home lol

  • @Flakbait888 umm yes he did are you blind?

  • that doesnt feel good. i know. but he was lucky because he knew it was coming. when a 200 pound somoan kid railroads u went u dont have the ball. NOW THATS NOT CLEAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • what a stupid catcher, never sit on your knees when making a play at home!

  • @baseballcatcher08 i know right its his fault, u stay on your feet and stand ur ground

  • Mitch is a catcher also so he knows what he can and cant do... But like he told me after this game Flint was in the way and in baseball you gotta do what you gotta do!!! and its not like Mitch tried to intentionally hurt him

  • you're only a man if you hold onto the ball.

  • the runner never did touch the base

  • HES OUT LOL

  • Clean play, good form by the runner.

  • BOOOOOM HeadShot xD

  • That happened to me one day .. so my father and brother went over the guy to make him shit XDDD

  • @Nebreakfast nice

  • why was the catcher on his knees if he was trying to block the plate

  • IN THE FACE!!

  • Yeah. I catch...(Im a girl) but I mea,n, the way he was just sitting there was saying that he was gonna get run over. Make sure yu are in a secure position if you are going to sit in front of the plate like that

  • Padres!

  • catcher should have been in a power squat and not on his knees....i was a catcher 5 years and always won these incidents

  • Here comes the boom

  • well, it's baseball and it's legal. So it's the catcher's choice if he stays in the lane of the runner. So why this vid

  • @CameronTheDude26 i did but i wasnt paying close attention., and i am not a stick but thanks for calling me 1

  • @CameronTheDude26 Why would you call the guy a faggot? Geeze.

  • he didnt touch the plate

  • @BuiltMookTough Yes he did. He missed it, then touched hit. Watch the video.

  • same thing happened to me last year, hurt like hell

  • @EyeFangirlLIfe he didnt deserve it he was protecting HIS plate

  • everyone that says he missed the plate he didn't.... he went back and touched it

  • PWNED!

  • lol... he missed the plate... and thus the point of this play...

  • @nxken ummm he scored a run
