C. I know how to fish a frog and how to set the hook, I catch everything from 1 lbers to 6+ lbers on them and my strike-to-land ratio is pretty dang good. You're going to miss a fish every now and then on the frog, it's inevitable, even Mr Rojas will tell you that.

A. The frog is one of the most versatile baits ever, you fish it at the speed the FISH want it, NOT the way you've seen you're bassmaster hero perform it on TV once. Fish change their eating habits depending on the weather conditions, forage available, and habitat they're occupying.

hey guys I'm relatively new to frog fishing (with the exception of the jitterbug frog lure in my tacklebox).. What do you guys recommend as the best frog lure/ plastic? And, I purchased a few Burke Original Lifelikes, and a Snag Proof Original frog, because they were on clearance at Dicks Sporting Goods.. has anyone tried these?

bass like the snag proof, but they dont have a good hook-set. Try fishing scum frogs, and spro frogs. You can also try ribbits, a more fast action frog.

@Pasc9 Personally I cant stand snag proofs,the only frog ill buy is spro and maybe scum frogs.And if ure planning on frogging alot use 50-65lb braided line with a 7'baitcasting rod.

this is the type of fishing i love the most ... thicker the scum thicker the fish!!!! sometimes im fishing in 6 times more scummy water..... the fish are hitting ur frog at fast pace ..... here they hit the slower one following the fast one , this is one reason why tourney guys fish TOGETHER one agressive one slow behind... try this with a friend ... ull see the fish hit twice as much

People catch fish on frogs throughout the entire year. My favorite and most productive time is late spring through summer.

You gotta fish it the way the fish want it, which can change from day to day. If the fish are really active then I'll give the frog short pauses in between the reeling/twitching, if the fish are sluggish I'll let it sit in the open for longer periods.

where in mass? i live on "bass pond" in Springfield ma its private and its full of big bass its like mackerel fishing one after the other after the other well if you find it come fish it no gas motors just tell whoever your Dinos bud

It's located up in the North-Eastern corner of MA. The pond is technically public waters but hardly anyone fishes it. There is public access but I doubt many people know or care about it. I went ahead and got permission from one of the property owners because of how easy it is to launch from the back of his house. Springfield's a bit of a drive but we'll see, maybe someday. Thanks
