  • gr8 work, keep it up its very helpful ......waiting ...ur more uploads.god bless u

  • thank you very much.... this video helped me to understand... but i have a question...... i was told that ADH is secreted from the hypothalmus and stored in the posterior pituitary.. is that true??

  • @TheNancyatef

Posterior pituitary hormones are synthesized via hypothalamic neurons. From there they are transported and stored in the neurohypophysis (posterior pituitary). When the right stimuli arise, these same neurons directly stimulate the posterior pituitary to secrete the stored hormones. Check out the video I made overviewing the pituitary gland and its hormones; it will explain all of this with more depth.

    thanks alot

  • @bullharrier hey, in my biology book, it is said that the ADH is secreted by the intermediate lobe, between the anterior and posterior lobe (neurohypophysis). the intermediate lobe belongs to the (adenohypophysis - kinda like that in romanian :-?) . the book says that this intermediate lobe is like a membrane and has only 2% of the mass of the pituitary gland :-?

  • @TheNancyatef
