@innerfidelity I just bought the vmoda lp2 and I didnt like them because the didnt isolate noise very well.And i was look to buy some more. Your opinion matters alot to me you is the reason I collect headphones. i got a budget of 0- 200 dollars i was looking at city scape uptown and the fanny wang 2001. i know you getting tired of me posting lol

Seems like most manufacturers are really getting into headphones, so many models and styles to choose from, do you think the market is getting over-saturated with to many choices, I mean you could go nuts just trying to find what sounds and fits you just right, and there are really no places you can go to so you can try out all the hundreds of models available.

WOW,I am very impressed from this line from Philips,everything looked great(including Jennifer).I bought a pair of PX200-II after you recomended them but I will try to get a pair of the closed headphone for android as my next headphone,they look excellent and priced well - I really expected for this kind of headphone.

Although this is unrelated, what would you recommend as an alternative for CAL (Creative Aurvana Live!)? I'm pretty sure they are discontinued and $99 on Amazon.

Whats a good alternative? I don't know the MSRP for the CALs, but $99 sounds okay.

@InnerFidelity Most retailers don't stock them any more. On the creative site, it's listed as Out of Stock and been for a little while. I've been following these for a few months now and the site hasn't changed. Amazon had them at $65 last year, but now it's $99.

I've checked many online retailers and they either don't have them (Out of stock) or extremely high prices.

Excuse my ignorance of thinking it's "Discontinued" or severely back logged.

Any suggestions or dive for the $99 price?

Philips has always been great at developing new technology, but for decades has had a tough time turning that into consumer products that people actually want to buy. Their stuff would be missing the look and feel aspects that makes a company like Apple so successful. This looks like a refreshing change.

Philips headphones in my opinion are not that great. Found the stretchers pretty cool at first, until I experienced the built and sound quality.

@AsianTaeHyun You heard the L1's? Everyone is very impressed by them saying the sound, look and feel much more expensive than they actually are. I havent heard them, but I have to say, as far as looks, materials used and build quality goes, its pretty impressive. I'm actually planing to replace my HD650's with L1's.

also maybe you can review sound quality at the output of smartphones. for example when i got an android phone for my mom i was SHOCKED by how horrible the sound quality was ( on any headphones ). i would be curious to try android for myself but it would have to have sound quality comparable to my iPhone 4S for me to consider it.

Tyler it would be cool if you started reviewing more HEADSETS for smartphones. Because when it comes to headphones not a lot has changed over the years - at any given time get a top of the line Sennheiser and you won't go wrong. But picking a headset can be a real challenge ! I was very happy with Bose QC15 for my iPhone then i picked up an Android phone only to realize it isn't compatible with my Bose ! Stuff like that would be interesting IMO !

@g1981c so to clarify i had a problem finding a headset for an android phone. when i tried both my white apple earbuds and the boss the inline mic wouldn't work. when i tried samsung earbuds ( from Galaxy phone ) they worked ( on my LG smartphone ). on the whole i had a pretty bad experience and even when i did get it to work in the end the sound was horrible - thank god it was a phone for my mom, and i kept the iPhone for myself.
