Melissa and Daizee Haze are to blame for me becoming a fan of Ladies' wrestling. And it was another match between Mariko and Melissa, from a ChickFight tournament in San Francisco, 2005, that got me hooked on Japanese ladies' wrestling.

Melissa holds her own here, far better than she should have as young as she was (and I mean that as a compliment). I agree with Nagashimark that Yoshida Mariko is the greatest submission wrestler I have ever seen. I daresay she could hold her own in a shoot BJJ match. This footage is totally and utterly ave.

I never get tired of this match.
