Well done, you look amazing...I'm going for my first consultaion for a band in a week, and I'm absolutely terrified of the excess skin, I won't be able to afford any further surgery and don't know if I could handle it...I know that excercise is essential...but the skin is really making me have second thoughts, would you have had the surgery if you knew that you might have to live with the excess skin?
Just know at the end of the day everybody have their ups and downs. You started out up then down and then back up again. I personally give u 50 stars, I know u Thank god every day. I think u did really terrific with everything u have been through.The facial peel, the weight lost and the botched surgery and then the corrected surgey to repair the botched surgery. U looked beautiful then and u look beautiful now. Take Care

Because even though you had a tummy tuck. You didnt need any major surgery, as in having your back done and your thighs and your calfs look as if you never were overweight, no loose skin as I could see. I'd like these results SOO much. I know I will work out, but did you ever notice the skin on your back being flabby, or on your calfs?
I have doubled in size in the last 11 yrs due to husband, 3 kids and not taking care of myself. I was 123lbs when I got pregnant with my 1st child now almost 8 yrs later I am 240lbs. Last June my husband used his work bonus check to enroll me in a very expencive weight loss group. I lost 10 lbs in 3 month but they promised 3-5 per week. Now they say that it must be medical. When I saw your video I am thankful you showed good bad and ugly!!!! Thank you for your efforts!! You are an inspiration!!

Your journey is totally inspiring. I had lapband surgery May 2005. I also started out at 275lbs. My weight is just under 180lbs and my goal is 155 - 160lbs. You stated that you only ate 800 calories a day. What exactly did your diet consist of. As you know it is so hard to find food you can actually eat. I also had a tummy tuck two years after my surgery and very happy with the results. Your are truely an inspiration to a lot of people. You've inspired to me to get this last 20lbs off!

I feel like I want to get this. my friend just got hers done and she is already starting to look great. I used to weigh 110-115 and then I had my oldest daughter in 2006 and gained 100 lbs and i have been struggleing to lose that weight and i just had a baby in january and am still struggling to lose weight. I need to lose 100 lbs I am only 5'3 and I weigh 218 lbs.

You rock!!! I had my lapband November 13th , 2009. I have lost about 45 pounds give or take. SW: 250 CW 204 I would of lost more, but I had a lot of emotional setbacks. My mom passed away in March and just had some other stuff going on. I also had an appendectomy 2 weeks ago, and 2 weeks before that they took out all the saline in my band cause I was too tight. But they just put the saline back in my band, and I'm ok to go to the gym, only no heavy lifting. I can do this. You inspire me Mel!

You have done such a great JOB! I am a bandster myself. I was banded 9/7/2009 and have lost 81lbs. Staring wt 304lbs, and I am now 223. I have a question for you? I am struggling to lose the weight now. It was just falling off. I excercise and rarely eat due to the band and I try to focus on protein. Any suggestions?
@Joysmommy817 What a great job on losing 81lbs thus far. Congrats! Im very happy for you. When your on a stall the best thing that I recommend is to try to detox your body. Maybe that would help you out.

@crewlla Its so hard to believe its almost been a year and a half. I would have never believed I could pull all this off so quickly. Im so suprised and shocked that I have completed my journey in such a short time. It took a very long time to get adjusted to my new body because of the fast pace. My brain had to catch up with my weight loss. That was hard to do.

Your journey is totally inspiring. I had lapband surgery May 2005. I also started out at 275lbs. My weight is just under 180lbs and my goal is 155 - 160lbs. You stated that you only ate 800 calories a day. What exactly did your diet consist of. As you know it is so hard to find food you can actually eat. I also had a tummy tuck two years after my surgery and very happy with the results. Your are truely an inspiration to a lot of people. You've inspired to me to get this last 20lbs off!

I feel like I want to get this. my friend just got hers done and she is already starting to look great. I used to weigh 110-115 and then I had my oldest daughter in 2006 and gained 100 lbs and i have been struggleing to lose that weight and i just had a baby in january and am still struggling to lose weight. I need to lose 100 lbs I am only 5'3 and I weigh 218 lbs.

Wow!!! You did it girl!! I'm suppose to have my lapband surgery next month but the girls at my pcp's office are being haters and giving me a hard time. I have done everything my lapband doc wanted me to do and the insurance requirements. I have been watching your videos since nov. and you have inspired me and given me hope. What an amazing job you did! wow, alot of scary stuff as well. Thanx for all your posts, this gives me motivation that i too can do this, after years of failed diets, gym, trainers, diet pills and extremes my dr decided on weightloss surgery, lap band is my first choice but i hear such negative things about it, IM SCARED, dr wants me to get the sleeve but i dnt want it.. anyway i think i will chronicle my journey as well..thnx for bein an inspiration!

You rock!!! I had my lapband November 13th , 2009. I have lost about 45 pounds give or take. SW: 250 CW 204 I would of lost more, but I had a lot of emotional setbacks. My mom passed away in March and just had some other stuff going on. I also had an appendectomy 2 weeks ago, and 2 weeks before that they took out all the saline in my band cause I was too tight. But they just put the saline back in my band, and I'm ok to go to the gym, only no heavy lifting. I can do this. You inspire me Mel!

You have done such a great JOB! I am a bandster myself. I was banded 9/7/2009 and have lost 81lbs. Staring wt 304lbs, and I am now 223. I have a question for you? I am struggling to lose the weight now. It was just falling off. I excercise and rarely eat due to the band and I try to focus on protein. Any suggestions?

@Joysmommy817 What a great job on losing 81lbs thus far. Congrats! Im very happy for you. When your on a stall the best thing that I recommend is to try to detox your body. Maybe that would help you out.

Perfect song, "It's my life"! They said it all, "I just want to live while I am alive". If you wait to long to do this, you will be old, and won't really get to feel and appreciate the benefits of the weight loss. I mean it will always be beneficial no matter what age you are, but the younger the more it will be appreciayed. I am glad to see you doing so well. You are my hero! Glad to see your hubby by your side as well. proud and happy for you girl!

You look absolutely fantasic. I know it was a rough road, but you made it. What I think is really fabulous about you is that you changed your lifestyle and kncoked all those stereotypes about WLS out of the water. You worked hard beyond the band to make your goal and I appluad you. Congrats chica!
I have my surgery on Friday and I plan to begin my 5K training when my surgeon gives me the green light.

@crewlla Its so hard to believe its almost been a year and a half. I would have never believed I could pull all this off so quickly. Im so suprised and shocked that I have completed my journey in such a short time. It took a very long time to get adjusted to my new body because of the fast pace. My brain had to catch up with my weight loss. That was hard to do.
