And - here is my eternal question about these things... What about freezing rain? I live in the midwest, and we have freezing rain dozens of times per year. I understand if ice buildup simply STOPS the turbines... but, it often RUINS them completely. So - when you need energy the MOST (during a winter, high-wind storm - when power often goes out), is this thing going to be just an expensive popsicle in the yard?

Might be more credible if the photos were ACTUAL photos, rather than computer simulations. It's ridiculous to show an animation of a product in a real setting - that's called "theory". A real product, actually installed and producing, is worth a thousand drawings.

ok so this diffusor syetm can increase the wind by 40% as posted on another video from 30 MPH to 42 inside the diffusor. Can we see this shown in a real world set up with all the data exposed? All wind turbines look great in a commercial or just spinning. Please take the guess work out of our asssumptions for us. show us a real site with all the data.

A divergent duct increases pressure so how does it make a vacuum? That's why ram jets have a more narrow intake than the combustion section; to increase the compression of the incoming air. Lol in fact the point of highest pressure in a jet engine is called a diffuser!

Efficiency on a wind turbine is related to the area of the wind turbine and he probably did not used the area of the diffuser just the area of the blade.

What is the "efficiency" of your design with respect to the kinetic energy of the wind held in the area of the shroud? Sure the rotor may be relatively small but the shroud diameter MUST be on par with a conventional HAWT rotor diameter to produce the same power. The Betz limit for shrouded wind turbines is defined by the maximum area of the shroud, not the swept area of the rotor. No physical law is broken, per the narrators clams, only a misleading explanation of the law is given.
