Yes! Pastors should provide financial advice. But as the old saying goes,"If you want to hide anything from a black man, put it in a book". We don't read. We choose not to educate ourselves & IGNORANCE IS EXPENSIVE! So now ask yourself..Should I care if you don't care? I've already got a FULL-TIME job continuing to educate myself. It's not my job nor the pastor's job to babysit adults...unless of course that is the business in which you are into.
When will CNN deal with the Muslims on tithing? They won't because america is afraid of Islam. America has no problem bowing down to a Bull and Bear stock market but when it comes to the bible all of a sudden they have all these foolish questions and doubts, and they wonder why America is in a recession. How do you go into debt when you have machines in this country that make the money.lol
i think its funny how td jakes said they still need money to keep the lights on and keep the church running but he's the only one in the church thats a millionaire. if jesus charged people to watch him speak he would have spoke to a lot of people
@stressfree27 Jesus did not have a building to keep up either.Let us have God as the judge, and not us I don't want the responsibility for keeping heaven safe for an eternity.
@stressfree27 Have you ever visited his church? So how do you know he is the only millionaire, it is so funny how people support millionaire drug head actors, rappers and rock stars who are completely hypocrytical but have a problem with any christian prospering in anything. CNN needs to question these entertainers on the filth they promote on t.v. but CNN only wants to go after a pastor. The things of the Spirit are foolish to the natural mind.
People are not going into financial tale spends because of GIVING 10% to GOD!!! How rediculous and foolish for this interviewer to think that because someone gives 10% they are in a financial tale spend. If a person does not have the money to pay their light bill then the 10% would not make a difference either, it is called poor money management! A lot of times the reporters will not tell the whole story at all because it would shame them. The things of the Spirit are foolish to carnal minds!!!!
You can not expect CNN to understand anything pertaining to the kingdom of GOD, the bible is correct (Malachi 3:10) but certain people might be shady but the word of GOD is not. Does CNN challenge Muslims who also give 10% as well? The world and media hates JESUS CHRIST so they come after what they can only see but do not understand the SPIRIT. How many CNN officials have lost there money investments trusting the stock market? Lets see them answer that! I rather trust GOD then a idol BULL!
@Bchristlike7 sorry to tell u this but u r in error....people of the church don't understand tithing and will use Malachi 3 in error only because they heard their pastor read it to them to scare them making them think the they are robbing God but it was talking about the priest not the congregation....tithing had nothing to do with money....u can't talk about CNN when u don't understand either...
@MrEvolution08@Evolution so sad to see that you do not study your bible, only people who have no experience with GOD in this matter would say something like that, even Jesus said give to Ceasar what belongs to Ceasar and give to GOD what BELONGS TO GOD. Pastors can't scare anyone who knows their bible, has your pastor used scare tactics? Then you need to talk to him. Remember in the bible in REVELATIONS GOD CALLS US (Christians) ALL KINGS AND PRIESTS!!!!
@Bchristlike7 lol....how do u know what i study....funny thing is that u just quoted a scripture but failed to realize what u just used...its clear u have no understanding....u r so brainwashed...it was talking about taxes not "TITHES" the Pharisees sent out the Herodians and they asked Christ was it lawful to give Caeser "tribute money" and then Christ asked him who was on the money then the guy answer and said Caeser so he told him to give Caeser which is his because his face was on the money
@MrEvolution08 AND then JESUS SAID GIVE GOD WHAT BELONGS TO GOD right after talking about MONEY! You pay taxes (or do you) and you give to GOD what belongs to HIM.You just said in a previous comment this scripture was not about money, you are hanging yourself and you really lack prophetic insight from the Old Testament as well which will make you unequipped for this conversation!
Matthew 13:14-16 (King James Version) 14And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: 15For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
first thing u lack comprehension.....u can't even comprehend what i said so i know u don't understand the word of God....humble yourself... u making yourself look bad...i never said that the scripture wasn't talking about money...smh how foolish do u sound "Christ asked him who was on the (money) then the guy answer and said Caeser so he told him to give Caeser which is his... so tell me where i said the scripture wasn't talking about money...just proves u lack understanding
@Bchristlike7 so am i really lacking "prophetic insight" LOL...seems that u can't comprehend which makes u unequipped for any conversation...I SAID "TITHING HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MONEY" DO U UNDERSTAND???AND IN THAT SCRIPTURE "CHRIST" WAS NOT TALKING ABOUT TITHES HE SAID GIVE CAESER WHAT BELONGS TO HIM BECAUSE CAESER IS ON THE MONEY AFTER BEING QUESTIONED ABOUT GIVING "TRIBUTE MONEY" TO CAESAR...THAT'S Y HE SAID THAT
@Bchristlike7 and said give God what is his which is spiritual things "not money"....because Christ said you cannot serve God and "mammon" which is wealth/money(Matt 6:24).....learn a lil bit b4 taking a scripture out of context...read Matthew 22:15-22 to get the full context of what was said and stop throwing stuff out there like u know something being puffed up with pride...u should take your YT name a lil more serious and actually live by it
@MrEvolution08 Explain the spiritual things Jesus was talking about then? Since in your eyes Jesus talked about money one second and then spiritual things the next.Serving MAMMON is shown when you do not TITHE or give.
@MrEvolution08 Talk about taking scripture out of context about Mammon, He was not talking about tithing because HE mentioned Mammon, He was referring to Mammon in materialism like when the rich young ruler would not give up all he had to follow HIM. Even Jesus and His disciples had money (Judas was over the money) but that does not mean it is referred to as Mammon, read Matt 10:9-10. How is giving 10% of what one makes to GOD serving Mammon? C'mon you are messing up man, anyway I am done!
AGAIN WHY DO U PROVIDE SCRIPTURES WITHOUT ANY UNDERSTANDING??? why don't u read what he said b4 those 2 that u foolishly gave me to get a understanding on what he was saying
7And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
8Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: "(freely) ye have received", ((freely give.)) 9Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in (your) purses,
Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat.
Christ was telling the disciples not to recieve anything for the gospel...lol.
u ignorantly provided me with the scriptures that proves that the gospel should be free...as u can see in Matthew 10:8-9....get understanding first of what u put out b4 u make yourself look really bad...seek wisdom and understanding.....and i never said giving %10 is serving mammom..again u can't even comprehend the things i say but try to go into the bible thats filled with oracles, mysteries and allegories....i'll pray for u because u are in so much error and is blind to the fact...
Thou mayest not eat within thy gates the ((tithe))of thy corn, or of thy wine, or of thy oil, or the firstlings of thy herds or of thy flock, nor any of thy vows which thou vowest, nor thy freewill offerings, or heave offering of thine hand:
Like i told you b4 TITHING IS NOT MONEY but tell me i lack prophetic insight of the OT...LOL u lack comprehension
@Bchristlike7 and another thing "tithes" never had anything to so with money...period....so u need to study your bible b4 making a fool out of yourself...showing that u are unlearned and don't know what u read nor have a understanding of the bible itself....humble yourself....for God resisted the proud and give grace unto the humble (James 4:6)....... seek wisdom and understanding...pray and fast...
@MrEvolution08 If that is what you want to believe about tithe then you will have to say that about offerings to because in the OT it was of grain and other agricultural goods and that is how they measured prosperity along with the livestock one had. BUT SINCE WE LIVE IN 2010 and are not under a agricultural system our increase is money which again Jesus dealt with in Matt 22:21 RENDER=PAY. You are quick to call someone prideful but it shows you have no discernment. Haggai 1:3-11
@Bchristlike7 LOL..y do u even try??...you did it again...just provided more scriptures to prove what???lol makes no sense....first thing tithing was for the children of Israel second thing it was at a certain location...are u there???so that wouldn't apply...it shows you have no discernment
@Bchristlike7 a lot of people don't understand what tithes and offering is...tithing was of the field like, fruit, grain, oil, spices...etc and of the herd like cattle, sheep, ox...etc....%10 of the tithes was given to the Levite priest because they didn't have an inheritance of the land...Offering was of the cattle..like the bull, sheep, goats where they used to sacrifice them by killing and burning at the alter to the Lord....so none of that was money at all and was under the Levitical Law
@ULtheBossman the only reason why it was not about money then was because again you have to look at the age of time again. So when you give an offering is it grain, oil, spices or money?
@Bchristlike7 did u read what i said about why it is not in effect anymore?...offering was not grain but the tithes were...offerings were of the herd...there was burnt offerings, peace offerings, sin offerings of atonement, meat offerings which was of the herd not grain...go read Exodus, Levitcus, Numbers and Deuteronomy for more understanding of what tithes and offerings are
they did offerings because of sin so they would take of the herd a goat, lamb, bullock, a dove or pigeon that was without spot or blemish to sacrifice for sins but its not available today because of Christ..He was our sacrificial Lamb without blemish that died for the sins of everyone who believes on him and follows him into all righteousness..just wanted to share that with u in love and kindness not to tear u down..tithing was not money at all....may God bless you
@ULtheBossman Yea I see what you are saying but not all offerings were not because of sin, Abraham tithed to Melchizidech not because of sin, even when you read Proverbs " Honor the LORD thy GOD with the first fruits of all you increase and with all your posessions, that your barns will be filled with plenty and your vats will overflow with new wine".
@Bchristlike7 i didn't come to debate but to give u understanding and truth what u have to understand is u are talking about Abraham and Melchizedek..the children of Israel wasn't born then and it wasn't a Levitical law either because the Levites weren't born yet....i understand where u coming from about Abraham tithing to Melchizedek but this information does not prove anything..Read Genesis 14 and 15
it explains where the concept of tithes and offering came from...
Hebrews 7 1For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him; 2To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;
3Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually. 4Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.
5And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham: 6But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises.
Melchisedec was a priest so that where the Levites came in...the Levites were the priest that had no inheritance that's y it became a law of tithing
@MrEvolution08 " Do not exchange insult for insult or evil for evil..." so I am done with this back and forth stuff "and the servant of the LORD must not quarrel...." so if you want to leave any other comment feel free, it won't be read.
Matthew 22:17-21 17Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not? 18But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites? 19Shew me the tribute money. And they brought unto him a penny. 20And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription? 21They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's.
what Christ was saying is give the thing that belongs to Caesar because the money was made for him...man created money not God...Giving things to God has to do what God made which is man and animals and the earth...not money...that's y Christ said that
CNN, stop playing games, U know what your doing keep putting these homo's up on stage, nobody wants to hear from this BIG-FAT-GORILLA-EATING PORK-CHOP- ANOTHER HOMO-SISSY-NIGGER...STOP! IT!
