Jobcorp is many things to many people. The actual experience is extremely hard to describe. I love my trade I learned, and I had a great time with the friends I made, but I could not take all the rules and staff. I am not in jail, nor did I join the army. Still, I recommend it for those who needs it. Also, you can get your GED or Diploma as well as a trade.

I'm glad you found something because dispite finding good friends the rest was a waste of time and the rules were bogus it drove me nuts and they never helped me find anything after I got out.

I always tell people unless they want to goof around for two years figuring out what they really want to do don't bother because you're not going to get a very good education going there and you'll be treated like a little kid.

its best to travel light, and it also depends on where your going too. and how long your staying.  bring some entertainment, but watch it close. People be thieving.

I heard from some friends you can bring a laptop and other stuff. But just as you say got to keep it close. I'm going soon there I was thinking about bringing my PS3 is that good or bad?

I had my ps2 while I was there. Believe me, it gets really REALLY boring alot of times. Just remember, you bring it at your own risk.
